More Crew to come...

Carnival's cruise ship Triumph docked at St. Thomas.
Ahoy, Freepers! Why not make your next year's vacation a FREEPER CRUISE? Can't think of a better idea!
United we stand for conservative activism AND some good old-fashioned fun, too!
This cruise thread will be running right up until embarkation day. It'll be packed with lots of information.
Post your enthusiastic comments here. Links are provided below for stateroom/fares information, registration form and
the Bahama Mama Q&A thread devoted solely to answers for all your cruise questions and to provide you with smooth sailing.
We strongly urge you to register ASAP. We need a certain number of registrations by a mid-January cutoff date
to ensure our reserved block of cabins with Carnival. From many communications we've received since last year's terrific cruise,
we're certain the interest is out there. We don't want to have to deep-six this event if we don't get enough registrations in a timely manner.
PLEASE NOTE to hold off on making your air tickets reservations until we give you the go-ahead.
We have more than ample lead-time for this cruise and you'll be able to get good air-fare bargains in plenty of time!
Since some air-transportation tickets are non-refundable, we don't want anyone to be left holding the ditty-bag.
As an incentive for early registration, the first 20 Freepers to get their reservations into the travel agency
will win their choice of five (5) sheets of Ocents.com stamp sheets (go to that website for Seeking the Truth's array of terrific stamps!)
They will also receive a usflagballoon.com pin courtesy of Abner (check out Abner's usflagballoon website
to view the colorful pin and some excellent pictures of the US Flag Balloon!) Registrations will be dated and time-stamped by the agency.
Winners will be notified and they'll receive their gift stamps and pins via mail.
We've got a great contest planned for later. A lucky winner will receive a FREE cabin for two!
Last year, the contest was won by our Freeper pal, Taxman. This time it may be you!
Bookmark this thread. We'll keep you posted as plans evolve. Register now for this fun-filled getaway in the sun!
Informal FRN meetings will be held on board which will be full of information and idea-sharing for effective conservative activism.
Rock the boat with your fellow Freepers! Climb aboard today!
This page is for about the cruise.
If you have questions, do not post them here.
Use the Bahama Mama link and ask them there.
Thank you!

Last years Cruise was wonnnnnnnnnderful, romantic, fun, interesting, entertaining, educational (cause we did work, didn't we). Any other adjectives that I missed?
To: DoughtyOne
Excellent prices on this cruise. I would love to go, but I do not fly. Maybe someday we can do one from California port eh?

I'm looking forward to it Leni. Thanks very much for all your hard work on this.
To: MinuteGal
My piggy bank is already starting to work on this. Every penny! I had so much fun last year and don't want to miss this one. All aboard, everyone. Oh wait, that's the train, what do you say for a ship.
Sailing, sailing over the bounding main...
To: MinuteGal
Leni, have you checked out the Capt. on this ship? Is he a tall, blond, good looking nordic type like last years? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?
To: ladyinred
WTF? You don't want your sneakers examined? Come on...how do you think that I will get to the Central Valley?
I know that you cannot fly, but airplanes can.
Hope to see ya pretty soon. ;-)

Take the train, drive, hitchhike, but COME!!!!
To: DoughtyOne
Ditto on that D1.
To: abner
Yeah, I hear the last one was a blast. I'm not missing this one!
To: dixie sass
Hey, that sounds like me! Well, except, I'm not all that tall. I used to be blond once though. Honest I have been on a ship once, it was a med. cruise? Oh never mind.

Er, okay... rotfl! If you say so...
To: dixie sass
Hey, Dixie! I've got first dibs on the tall blond captain. But what if he looks like Tiny Tom Daschle? Oh, my! I'd walk the plank first.
All you freepers who went on last year's cruise, please weigh in. Did we have a blast or didn't we?
Leni
To: dixie sass
Think "Win the contest!" LOL!
Lessee, one week at sea, locked up with a bunch of FReepers.
Now, that sounds like a plan -- ships capacity is what, 2500 guests or so?
2500 FReepers might, just might, be able to show Carnival a thing or two.
Ahoy, mateys, lessgocruizin!

I would LOVE to go. I don't fly either if I can help it, but I don't have a problem with driving. Maybe this would be a good trip for the FReepmobile!
To: Guy Angelito
I'll go if I can get an autographed photo of Sluggo. This, I could probably arrange...

If Sluggo is on board at the time, we'll speak to his people on your behalf. Grin...
To: DoughtyOne
This trip looks fantastic. Our family had a great time last year, even if I can't beat LurkerNoMore at beach volleyball.
I'm going to slather myself with sunscreen now and pretend I'm already on the boat...
To: DoughtyOne
I'm surprised no one ever set up free republic personals.
lol.

Did you notice one of the ship's many watering holes is named "The Capital". They must have known we were coming!
For a great pic of this beautiful lounge, hit the "Carnival ship Triumph" link.
Leni
To: MinuteGal
Will you be cracking your quips and one liners in the lounge????
To: dixie sass
Last years cruise was great. Heck, I'm still hearing about it from people that weren't even there. Some friends came back from Florida a month or so ago and told us about a place in Key West where they saw a decal that said, "Turban Repair Kit".
They blamed us... Go figure.

I'm sure something could be arranged. I've been waiting for another one of these (FReeper cruises). I didn't go on the last one. I really hope I can swing it.
Read about the FReepmobile.
To: sweetliberty
Read the thread on the "FReepmobile"...think it is a great idea. Anyway, count me in if you plan to take this thing to Florida for the cruise, with or without the banners.

When you reach the destination, does the ship run aground so that everyone can jump off, swim to shore, and run all over the local freeways until caught by the local immigration authorities?

Okay, okay, I'll see what I can do!!! Now lets see who do I know that would love to meet a tall good looking guy? Hey, now wait a minute, I thought you lived in California where there are all those blondes and beach bunnies and other females like that!!!!!
To: Seeking the truth
Now I want you to remember this year there is a space between Dixie and Sass!
To: abner
I think I might still have one that was stuck on the bottom of my suitcase. Might be in my pocketbook, no, not there. It's somewhere! lol, Might need to do that one again!
To: MinuteGal
You done good Bahama Mama!
I'm going to do my best to make this little shindig! The itinerary is perfect! Thanks for thinking about those of us with kids and school!
Regards,
TS
To: lodwick
LOL! Sneakers?? Do you really think that the ladyinred would dare to be seen in sneakers??? :-)
Terrified of airplanes actually since birth! I turned down an all expenses paid trip to Hawaii a few years ago because I just can't get on that darn plane!
See you soon!!!!

Please refer to the Bahama Mama Q & A thread where your question is addressed. The link is above. Hope to see you aboard!
Leni
To: maui_hawaii
That question was asked on the Bahama Mama thread. I think she is researching the full extent of connections. Check in there later for a reply. There's a link on the thread that shows Internet Cafe type facilities on board.
To: Utah Girl
Great. Glad to hear it.
To: DoughtyOne
Are any organizers getting discounted or free rates for this cruise?
