I suppose. Fortunately, we don't live in a democracy. We live in a Republic, where representatives are elected to make decisions based upon principles rather than upon "popular opinion".

Actually, no.

First of all, we are a Constitutional Republic which utilizes representative democracy.

This is extremely different from the 'mob rule' of a pure democracy which can tyrannically denie the rights of the 'minority'.

A pure democracy is defined best as 3 wolves (pro abortion) and 1 sheep (pro life) setting down to vote "what's for dinner".

They could campain on PRINCIPLE!
....and hope that prevails.
Refute lies with facts, take the time to educate.
If they don't win on that basis....the people get the government they deserve.
