Simon Rallys this weekend

November 1, 2002

Dear Dale,

This Tuesday, California will elect a governor who will provide new leadership, return our state to fiscal discipline, and address our pressing issues. On November 5th, California will elect Bill Simon, and your vote and support are crucial to bring him and the other excellent Republican candidates into office.

For twenty months, Bill Simon has traveled up and down our state and met thousands of fellow Californians. He has heard your stories, and he understands the issues that are most important to all Californians. Everyone who meets Bill Simon realizes what a good man he is, and what a great public servant he will be.

We think the following "from the heart" testimonial from a California voter who recently met Bill Simon at an event was worth sharing. This voter gives several great reasons to vote for Bill Simon and will hopefully compel you to share this email with your friends and colleagues:

"After seven months and $30 Million of negativity from Gray Davis, Bill Simon is going to win this election. This is why (and it is very simple): Bill is the better man.

"Bill creates jobs and Gray destroys them. Bill has invested in hundreds of companies and turned most of them around. As a result, jobs were created enabling families to grow and buy homes. These families supported schools, churches and other important community organizations. And Simon will do this for California, too. Simply put, Bill has created economic growth, knows how to do it and will do it again. Gray Davis has done such a bad job and brought the state so low it will be easy for Bill to make a difference.

"Bill Simon's success in business enabled him to donate $50 Million to charity in the last 10 years. Gray Davis raised more than $50 Million and spent most of it on dirty, negative campaigning (Gray had to be negative because he does not have a track record to be proud of). Gray is for sale, Bill is not and does not need to be.

Thousands of children are better off because of Bill Simon's efforts. Hundreds of energy companies are better off because of Gray Davis' incompetence.

"Bill is not a career politician.....and I am grateful. He is a man who loves his community and his family...and the results can be seen in charitable donations and business success. This is the kind of man I want to be governor of my state. This is the man I support for governor." (K. Butcher, Palo Alto)

You still have time to make a difference in the Simon campaign. This weekend, Bill Simon is traveling all across the state on a "Fire Gray Davis" tour. See below for times and locations.

Please forward this message to your friends and colleagues who want to renew the California dream!

Read where Bill Simon stands on the issue.

Volunteer/get involved here.

Thank you for your support of the Republican Party and our great candidates.

Best,

Chairman Shawn Steel

California Republican Party

This is a correction to the San Jose event on the chart. It made reference to Santa Barbara Airport above the HYATT San Jose line .. OOPs.

California used to be a vibrant golden state. California under Govenor Davis has lost it's vibrancy. Oh, for sure, it's pretty green in Gray Davis's campaign fund chest, but the rest of the state is hurting, big time.

Isn't it time to vote Gray--OUT!!!

Bring California sunshine back and VOTE Simon!
