Hutchinson (R) - Pryor (D) Senate in Arkansas -- Looks like this will be Pryor(D).

Chambliss (R) - Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia -- close but going with Chamblis(R), has momentum and numbers for R are usually underreported in polls.

Coleman (R) - Mondale (D) Senate in Minnesota -- I really don't know here, I think Coleman(R) can pull it out, but would not be suprised if it went the other way. Looks like the press (at least nationally) picked sound bites that made Mondale look bad (arbitrary stand on abortion exchange).

Talent (R) - Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri - Talent (R)

Sununu (R) - Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire - Close, but going to take a chance with Sununu (R)

Dole (R) - Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina - Dole(R), Solidly relative to many of these close races.

Thune (R) - Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota - Thune(R) unless massive voter fraud.

Simon (R) - Davis (D) Governor of California - I will take a chance on Simon, I can't believe even Californians will put a guy in office with a rating of 57% negative. (Won't be totally shocked if they do, but just can't believe it)

Bush (R) - McBride (D) Governor of Florida - BUSH (R) Big.

Ehrlich (R - Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland - Ehrlich (R) close.

And honestly, most of these races are so tight, it is anyones guess. ONly really confident ones are Talent, Dole and Pryor... Trend currently seems to be toward republicans so am going to go with them for most of the close races.

Find out soon.

OK. Mudboy Slim: can I change one of my picks? I was stupid to list Carnahan as the winner?

C'mon, honey, you already KNOW I'm stupid, so cut me a break and say it's OK to switch my list and repost a corrected list, the first list not to count? ;)

I wish I were more confident about McCallum. At least in this area, because of the Green Bay News Chronicle's editorial, I see what I thought were moderate R votes for McCallum going to Thompson.

In case you missed my prediction, follow the link. I think that particular combo is the first of its kind, and with 50 minutes to go, the only one of its kind. I'll take that signed copy when I'm proven right <VBG>

That editorial was a very tricky way for the libs over at the Propaganda Chronicle to get RATs in. Outside of Menomonee County, how many RATs hail from the Green Bay/Fox Valley area?

Hmmmmm, so you think Sununu's gonna win it despite the Smith supporters feckless McStain-like pandering to the Leftist's Agenda?!

Alright, then, I shall amend my ballot to presciently forecast Sununu as a WINNER, giving the GOP--and America--the RightWing TsunamiSweep we covet so dearly...MUD

OK, my own predictions:

Hutchinson (R) - Pryor (D) Senate in Arkansas: Pryor (D) defeats Sen. Hutchinson (R) (Gain of 1 for Democrats)

Chambliss (R) - Cleland (D) Senate in Georgia: Rep. Chambliss (R) surprises the experts by defeating Sen. Cleland (D) (Republican gain)

Coleman (R) - Mondale (D) Senate in Minnesota: Coleman defeats Mondale (D) (Republican pickup)

Talent (R) - Carnahan (D) Senate in Missouri: Talent (R) defeats Carnahan (D) (Republican pickup)

Sununu (R) - Shaheen (D) Senate in New Hampshire: I think that Rep. Sununu (R) narrowly defeats Gov. Shaheen (D)

Dole (R) - Bowles(D) Senate in North Carolina: Dole wins, more easily than the "experts" think. But she's no Jesse Helms.

Thune (R) - Johnson (D) Senate in South Dakota: I think Sen. Tim Johnson (D) narrowly squeaks to victory over Rep. John Thune (R).

Simon (R) - Davis (D) Governor of California: Simon upsets Davis, despite Davis's efforts to beg, borrow, steal, or buy the election.
Bush (R) - McBride (D) Governor of Florida: Jeb wins fairly comfortably.

Ehrlich (R - Townsend (D) Governor of Maryland: For the first time in 36 years, the Republicans win the governorship of Maryland behind Bob Ehrlich. The
Democrats are foaming-at-the-mouth angry that "one of those people" is Lt. Governor. Everybody knows that liberals don't like blacks.

In addition, I'll make the following picks:

Colorado: Sen. Allard (R) again defeats Strickland (D)

Iowa: Sen. Harkin (D) defeats Rep. Ganske (R) more substantially than RCP is saying.

Louisiana: Sen. Landrieu (D) fails to get 50% and is forced to a runoff with one of the 3 Republicans. They will unify after tomorrow and it will be an uphill battle for Landrieu. I think the Republicans will pick up this seat on December 7.

New Jersey: Lautenberg (D) defeats Forrester, unfortunately.

South Carolina: Graham (R) defeats Sanders (D)

Texas: Cornyn (R) defeats Kirk (D).

Does Sen. Lincoln Chafee (alleged R-RI) cross the aisle?

Just to be on record:

Pryor in Arkansas
Chambliss in Georgia (upset special)
Mondale in Minnesota (unfortunately)
Talent in Missouri
Shaheen in New Hampshire
Dole in North Carolina (unfortunately - ;p)
Thune in South Dakota (take that, rat bastard Dashcle)
Davis in California (take that, lousy campaigning Republicans)
Bush in Floria
Ehrlich in Maryland

I think that the Senate will end up with us down 2, due to NH, CO, and AR (only 1 if Chambliss wins).

1,300,000 dogs nation-wide will vote for Democrats--and if anyone complains they will be accused of trying to "disenfranchise" Muffin.

Yes, but cats are more conservative and they will offset the dogs. :)
