WASHINGTON (Reuters) -- Thirteen months after the United States-led military campaign began in Afghanistan and on the eve of a United Nations vote on a tough resolution to disarm Iraq, President Bush is planning to mark the Muslim holy month of Ramadan with Islamic leaders at the White House.

The event is one of several ways in which the Bush administration plans to mark Ramadan in an effort to reach out to Muslims in America and throughout the world.

Only fair - last year they "reached" out to us.

Unfortunately, for electoral reasons, it is wise for him to do this. A majority of American Muslims, whose numbers equal that of Jews, voted Republican in 2000. As more and more Muslims immigrate to the the US, the more the GOP will cozy up to them out of political necessity. Another great reason to end immigration now.

Bravo to you Lord Chamberla- er, W.  Yes, if only we can appease the muslims, then, perhaps they won't be filled with such blood lust for us infedels!

These surely are a kind and peaceful people, who's history is filled with episodes of love and charity.  I'm so glad that you can see what no one else can.

Yes, let Ramadan be a time when we can soothe, comfort, feed and appease our mortal enemies.  Let's not make the mistake of viewing the hajj as a time where it would be really easy to nuke several million of them all at once.

The Prophet killed the men of the Jewish tribe Bani Quraiza (some 600 to 800 of them) and distributed their women, children and property among the Muslims All the other Jews of Medina were exiled. (Bukhari 5:59:362)

The Prophet had the date-palms of the Jewish tribe of Bani-Al- Nadir burnt and cut down. "It was with Allah's permission" (Koran 59:5)

The Prophet said to Sa'd, :The Bani Quraiza have agreed to accept your verdict" Sa'd said, "Kill all their men and take their women and children as slaves" The Prophet replied, "You have judged according to God's Judgment" (Bukhari 5:59:447)
