The right to life does not depend, and must not be declared to be contingent, on the pleasure of anyone else, not even a parent or a sovereign.

A Self-evident Truth indeed!

It was this Court’s own decision in Roe v. Wade (1973) to exclude the unborn child from the human family. You ruled that a mother, in consultation with her doctor, has broad discretion, guaranteed against infringement by the United States Constitution, to choose to destroy her unborn child.

Yes, that was indeed a bleak day.

The second most bleak day was on April 16, 2002, when the U.S. Supreme Court allowed "virtual" child porn.

Why does the Supreme Court hate children so much? Not only do they not want to protect children in the womb, but once they are born, they refuse to protect them from sexual predators. I don't get it.

Soemthing else from Mother Teresa:

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway.
If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies; Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; It was never between you and them anyway.

It has portrayed the greatest of gifts—a child—as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience. It has nominally accorded mothers unfettered domination over the independent lives of their physically dependent sons and daughters.

Blessed Mother Teresa bump!

Your opinion stated that you did not need to “resolve the difficult question of when life begins.” That question is inescapable. If the right to life in an inherent and inalienable right, it must surely exist wherever life exists. No one can deny that the unborn child is a distinct being, that it is human, and that it is alive. It is unjust, therefore, to deprive the unborn child of its fundamental right to life on the basis of its age, size, or condition of dependency.
Pro-life bump.

Come bump this thread for Mother Teresa!

Hats off to victim soul for posting this at the very moment that it is making the rounds again among Republican senatorial and congressional staffers.

Look for our beloved and Blessed Mother Teresa to be a major part of the debate when the Partial Birth Infanticide ban comes to the floor of the Senate.

Blessed Mother Teresa, pray for us.
Mary, Queen of All Saints, pray for us.

Feb 1997 and Mother Theresa asked for "the children" {who were being aborted}. I'll never forget the picture of the Xlintoon's. It was as if someone had shoved a pine cone up their behinds, (then again they might be into that kinda...)
