Trailer park makes L.A. historic monument list

LOS ANGELES. California (AP) -- A tree-shaded trailer park has been named to the city's list of historic and cultural monuments, becoming what could be the first mobile home park in the country given the designation, officials said.

The guest cabins are now gone but two homes and some other facilities remain,along with 22 trailers and mobile homes used by about 30 residents.

This is impossible on a 1.7 acre site. Did they mean 17 acres?

BTW,the old trailers like that guy is posing in front of were all originally built as travel trailers,and they were very well built.

Try dragging a $100 bill by a dimowit and watch the results! Check into the results of China,North Korea,Isalmic fundamental extremists, The Nature Conservancy, The Sierra Club and 128 other save the earth jerk wad "save the earthers",Global Crossings, I could go on for hours!

I saw that article last night and wondered the same thing. The sad part is that the owner will have a hard time improving the site now. The Historical designation is more trouble than it is worth.

That guy's trailer isn't big.

No,but 22 of them in a identical size still occupy more than 1.7 acres of space. You have to have room to park cars,room for a driveway or road,room for water connections and either septic tanks or waste lines,etc,etc,etc. 1.7 acres is nothing.
