I don't think Saddam (or anyone else) has any doubt about Bush's intent.
I could be wrong, but it would indicate a complete lack of intelligence and/or sanity on Saddam's part to screw this up.
Our incursions in Afghanistan indicate that hopeful expectations of a breakout of all-out holy war would probably be misplaced. If I were him, I wouldn't count on it.
It is very hard to calculate dictators.

If they were going west, they would have farther to go (I think), assuming Diego Garcia is thier destination, and they would be flying against the prevailing winds, which would add a lot of time and burn a bunch more fuel.
They either took off to the west (into the wind) then turned back east, or they had to go somewhere to pick up something, like cruise missles, before they flew to Diega Garcia.

What do you make of: 13. Recalls, in that context, that the Council has repeatedly warned Iraq that it will face serious consequences as a result of its continued violations of its obligations? I saw that. But I still wish the other points MENTIONED number thirteen. If we're going to go kick some terrorist a$$, let's just say it? Quit beating around the bush. No pun intended.

Diplomats have their own language. Their profession is to beat around the bush.

I hope the other side keeps on underestimating W and his strategery. This is not a guy who loses.

It is now soooo obvious these dimwits (UN)knew that as long as President Bush had a demo majority in the Senate they could continue the status quo. Well they obviously watched Tuesday night and saw what we all did. America has spoken and is serious. Serious enough to give both houses a REPUBLICAN majority. They know that this is serious now and the republicans will kick some ass, no bones about it. The bLAME AMERICA crowd is really the minority despite what the media says. GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND GOD BLESS PRESIDENT BUSH AND HIS ADMINISTRATION.

One of these monsters will take a half-day to smoke. They do take a while - but its good smoke every second.
