I once read a thesis that asserted the Jews, Scots, and Germans had advanced minds resulting from selective breeding. I had a protestant acquaintance who dated a Jewish girl, briefly. When her parents found out he wasn't going to be a doctor, lawyer, or distinguished musician they forbid her to see him. For 3,000 years Jewish life has been centered upon capacity for academic scholarship. The ones without superior capacity in that area tend to be ostracized out of reproducing themselves and die out. The last I read from one of Tom Sowell's books wat that Jewish average income was 164% of the national average.

The Asians I have no accounting for. They either acquire or are born with a discipline of the mind atat is astounding. They graduate near the top of any class. The Viet Nam war furnished this country with a large proportion of its engineering talent when the refugees came here and their kids started graduating at the top of their high school classes.

There is some but not much of Field's juggling on film. What I have seen impresses me greatly though.
In 1915-1921 he was in the Ziegfeld Follies and was making over one thousand dollars a week. Today we can't imagine what kind of money that was back then as we can't imagine even the buying power of a simple nickle at that time.

I know what you mean but that is some dangerous ground to tread on for a public discussion. On the other hand if one sized up humans honestly it would debunk Darwin's theory of natural selection because our stupidist members somehow manage to reproduce and are not weeded out of the gene pool. That's why I never married - doing the species a favor ;^)

I misunderstood. You were talking about Chinese on THIS continent. Yes it is true that you can go to American colleges (especially ones like U. of Washington or the UC schools) and see Chinese Americans enormously overrepresented.
