If that were the case, the red-and-blue 2000-Presidential-election-results-by-county map would have been blue in the sparsely-populated rural areas, rather than red.

And yet, the rural areas are more susceptible to the populist sentiments that Dems like to exploit. Think 1930s, not 2000. The political landscape was quite different back then.

I don't think Batman hated guns because he was anti-2nd amendment. I think he hated guns because they were loud, messy, and crude. One didn't have to be stealthy, powerful, or merciful to use one to subdue an opponent. So he never used them. I think they just offended his standard of decency. That and he was fussy.

Heh, I taped that Justice League: Savage Time movie...it did rock. My wife and I couldn't believe it - people died in the cartoon! Superman actually killed people. For what its worth, I think both Superman and Batman are Republicans...Democrats would never be so tough on crime as these two.
