Good thing this is in Kansas, not New York or some eastern state. The jury in NY would have let the sickos off.

Heck execute them five times!
I still think they should inject them with LSD and let the
executioners wear masks of their victims.

To: KSApplePie_two
But without it's being called a 'hate crime', will that execution really sting?

A just verdict. No.
Impaling would be a just verdict.

"Too quick, and not painful enough".
Yes, this is true. But I once read that because we never really know when we are going to die and somehow to know is horrific, the dealth penalty is fine and just. I'd really be most interested to know what's going through their minds right now. Hope springs eternal and they are probably hoping some appeal will save them. It's torture enough. At least we know they will not live to kill again. And, finally, good riddance!

Carr brothers sentenced to death
Reginald and Jonathan Carr this afternoon were both sentenced to death for four murders in Wichita in December 2000. The jury in the Carr capital murder trial, which last week convicted the two men of the murders and of a long list of other crimes, agreed that both men should be executed for the capital murders. The two will be sentenced by Judge Paul Clark tomorrow on the remaining charges.

Thank you, Lord! These two beasts will never again rape another woman. (Unless Sister Helen Prejean gets too close to them).

Let justice be done.
I pray these killers have realized the evil of their deeds, repented, and are ready to face their Maker. They're going to have some explaining to do.
Most of all, may God bless those whose lives were destroyed by these feral humans.

Great news. There were a lot of blacks on this jury too. They served this country's justice very system well.

Carr Brothers Sentenced to Death, Victims to Speak to Courtroom on Friday
Reginald and Jonathan Carr were given the death penalty by a unanimous jury today. The Carr brothers were given four counts of death each for the four counts of capital murder they were convicted of earlier this month.
On Friday morning, victims families will give their impact statements to the court and the defendants. The judge still has to sentence the Dodge City brothers on 85 other criminal counts, including one count of first degree murder, rape, robbery and other crimes.
The Carrs were convicted earlier this month of 93 total criminal counts, stemming from a crime spree in December of 2000. That spree culminated with the deaths of Aaron Sander, Jason Befort, Heather Muller, and Brad Heyka in a snow covered soccer field in northeast Wichita.

Reginald and Jonathan Carr this afternoon were both sentenced to death for four murders in Wichita in December 2000. Why only four. Did the jury forget about the cellist that these creeps killed? Or is it just sloppy reporting?

Let's hope they force them to have sex with each other and then afterward start pumping bullets into them a joint at a time.

What do they use for executions in Kansas? I never approved of lethal injection -- it's too much like putting a beloved pet out of its pain when it's beyond any other help....

What do they use for executions in Kansas? We need to start using the guillotine.
Quick, sure, painless and nice fresh organs to donate so they can "give back" to the community they ravished.

KS -- We all are relieved that after this two-year ordeal the jury has done the right thing.
So many thanks to you for keeping us all up to date on this trial. But for your reports, tose of us who live on the Right Coast would never know how this came out.
It has been a long two years. Our prayers continue to go out to the victims and their families. In this case, justice has been done, but no human being can take joy in it.
Bless you.

They only killed four the cellest Ann Walenta and three of the friends from the apartment one of the girls from the apt survived to tell the story and hang the perps. see some of the earlier threads on the whole story check KS Flyovers page for the links.

JUSTICE, just when I begin to wonder if there is any.
To: jackbill
IGNORE MY LAST POST
Boy did I screw up it was sloppy reporting there were three guys and one girl murdered from the apt and HG survived and Ann Walenta so that makes 5 (Damn Public schools 4+1=4)

You are incorrect. They killed five. Three guys and a woman from the apartment and the cellist. However, on another thread, a poster said that the killing of the cellist didn't "fit the Kansas law for the death penalty". Sounds logical.
In Maryland, they couldn't have gotten the death penalty for killing the cellist but they could have gotten it for the other four killings.

Piss on them as they fry!

What makes this even better is that it was Reginald Carr's birthday yesterday. Upon reading of the death sentence, Jason Befort's brother Mark yelled out, "Happy Birthday, you piece of shit!" RC yelled back, "F-You!" He was then hustled out of the courtroom and yelled back, "I'll get out!"
Jonathon Carr's mother and sister we're yelling, "We love you Jonathan."
Yuck. I hope they have fun in prison. Their execution cannot come soon enough. I hear that death row in Kansas isn't a walk in the park either like a lot of other states. I hope they have a guard who knocks the shit out of them daily!
Victim impact statements are supposed to be on Court TV live today. I'll believe it when I see it.
To: KansasGirl
I heard they will spend 99% of the time at ElDorado. Then go to Lansing(I think) for the days leading up to their death.
And what really got me was when the reporter said the reason for this is sometimes prison guards get attached to the death row inmates.
Give me a stinkin break!!!
