What's the biggest crock you ever went along with? (Just a fun & waste-of-time post)

What's the biggest crock you ever went along with?

For me that's easy! About a thousand years ago when I was in college the big health/beauty "discovery" was that yogurt the thing. Man, I must have eaten gallons of the stuff...and hated every single bite! (brrr....my blood runs cold just thinking about it even now) LOL, to this day I can't even go near the yogurt section of the grocery store! :op

I feel sad for all the divorced people bringing up a past marriage on this thread--it tells me you all are still pretty steamed at your exes. Bummer.

I just thought of another crock: Limited Real Estate Partnerships, which were quite the fad back in the eighties.

I ultimately lost $15,000 (back in the 80's--yikes) on these GARBAGE investments. We fired the certified financial planner for getting us into that trash. Nobody made money on these except the scumbags who sold them.

Getting my real estate liscense in 1987 when interest rates were at 10%......I sold 1 condo, commission was 50% taxed and I hated showing people homes when they had no intention of buying......Thank God I had a real 9 to 5 job also.

"For richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, etc"

What a crock.

To her it was; not to you. You have to find someone who takes it seriously.

$26k on Global Crossing? Yikes!!! Well, that $26k is part of where Terry McAwful's $18 million came from. The stock got dumped on "saps" after the price was jacked up artificially until insiders could take their millions and get out.
