BATON ROUGE -- Sen. Mary Landrieu, whose victory hopes hinge on being able to energize black voters, got a boost Saturday night from famed civil rights leader Jesse Jackson.

Jackson said Landrieu is the best U.S. Senate candidate to help improve the lot of poor people in Louisiana, one of the poorest states in the nation.

"If you are concerned about your economic interests, vote for Mary Landrieu," Jackson said at an impromptu news conference at the Sheraton Hotel.

This is a pretty amazing statement... Haven't the Demo/Commies been telling us for years that it was wrong to "vote your pocketbook", and that instead you should take the moral high ground and vote for "what is right" even if it hurts you economically?

(Of course I believe that is a false choice, because quite often voting for what helps you is also the morally correct position - but it's interesting to see Jackson's hypocrisy on parade yet again)

Je$$e HiJack$on had to get paid by someone to fly first class to La. and have his usual big white limo waiting for him.

Pray that the rats send the Clintoons, Jake Reno, Peloshi and the Da$$hole down to campaign for Landrieu. Then they all attack President Bush by calling him dumb and being mean to their nice Buddy, Uncle Saddam.

Landrieu had best stay out of any airplanes if her poll numbers drop.

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

But Jesse has been striking out lately.

That's because there are more media outlets than the Big Three and CNN these days. The New Media apparently isn't in bed with the so called 'Civil Rights Leaders' as the other Media has been for years. As a result, The Rev. Jackson's press hasn't been as 'glowing' as it has been in the past. People are beginning to recognize him for what he truly is, a race-baiting extortionist! So if he endorses someone for office, folks will look at that person the way they look at Jesse; that can't be a good thing for that candidate!

Jesse Jackson is the most calculating person in America today. He does nothing without figuring what's in it for him. What does seek to gain from endorsing ML?

wow. there's an endorsement. Mr. ShakeDown himself. Congratulations on that, Mary L.

I've got a question. Will Mary Landrieu write her concession speech herself, or will she have a staffer do it?

Jesse hasn't worked in years.

"Friends, the Dems don't know to leave well enough alone. They're helping Dems in the South alright - with a good, stiff dose of good old-fashioned Arkancide."

So, you mean that what the Reverend Jesse Jackson is doing down in Louisiana is kind of like another Reverend Jim Jones' "poisoned Koolaid" to the Democrat cult all over again?

"I'm just so glad Jesse "Action Shackson" Jackson came to LA to campaign for Mary "Brown Roots" Landrieu. She's toast!"

Landrieu must be a moron. Maybe she'll have the Minister Farrakhan be her keynote speaker at the next event.

Coretta Scott King argues against war on Iraq Jesse Jackson backs Landrieu for Senate

Let's see if I can respond to both of these irrelevant people in a single statement.

Who cares?

There, that should do it.

No surprise Jackson is backing Landrieu. But I could care less who he is backing. He is irrelevant.
