Interesting....I have always (up until Mia's comment, anyway) thought Peggy had an exceptional sensitivity to nuance. Almost poetic.

Physically-I think she is beautiful, full of life and has an exceptionally feminine, but powerful, voice. But she does kind of look like female gary bauer (Is that the name I am looking for? You know, the guy who was running for president way early on?) And I can never get that out of my mind. LOL.

NO, I'm not "grumpy."

I'm sick of threads with deceiving titles that turn out to be nothng more than a vanity. I'm especially disappointed when a vanity turns out to be nothing more than a re-hash of some old bandwidth-wasting graphics with a new title.

The problem is, you folks don't understand the FR rules. Vanities are to be posted as such, NOT as Breaking News. FR software does not show who ORGINALLY posted the article, only who is replying to whoever. IF EVERY post to an article included the name of the original poster, FReepers could ignore these vanities based on the reputation (or lack thereof) of the ORIGINAL poster. But since it doesn't, we can't, so don't be surprised when we complain.

I'd also appreciate that if you want to make fun of me personally, you'd at least have the courtesy and guts to include me in your "To" list so I can rebutt, rather than make me search the thread for your comments about me.

1- Since I don't browse FR the way you seem to (I select posts by title, author and category, e.g., 'breaking news," your original complaint initally sounded plausible to me, and your annoyance, therefore justifiable.

2- On closer inspection, however, your original complaint doesn't hold up that well. You are correct that selecting articles by browsing "latest posts" doesn't identify the author. But it doesn't identify the category, e.g., "breaking news" or "vanity," either!

3- My post is NEW...and it was conceived as NEWS, REPORTAGE. You seem to be confusing style with substance. It is so new, in fact, that I failed to proofread it and there are some corrections of structure and style that I will be making.

4- A distinction without a difference, perhaps, but I did NOT post the article in "breaking news" as you allege endlessly. I posted in in "front page news."

5- I do not create my graphics for 1-time-only use. I use them in new, relevant pieces.

6- Finally, whatever inconvenience and discomfort you experienced opening this thread was, I assure you, certainly reciprocated by your third or fourth retort. I, therefore, propose that we call it a draw...and get back to the real business of FR.
