My dial-up and browser(Exp-6) with windows XP just took a bit of extra time, about 15 secs or so to allocate. it figured it out pretty quickly.

I understand the frustrations with a dial up though. I used to have a cable modem, but the cost and the benefits for my purposes were just not getting it.

Like that night I was fighting my machine to send those pics to you. I was cussing myself for not having cable. but, it does not happen often.

I must get to my shop and do some repairs on some amplifier equipment for a customer.

I shall return later this afternoon!

I'm sorry Billie. I was very frustrated when I wrote that comment. I had tried for 2 hours to load the thread. It still won't load for me beyond post #36 (I think). I'm responding to you from my comments page, which I normally keep on "brief" for the same reason...there were some days when I couldn't even see who was posting to me because someone had sent a graphic that wouldn't load.

Perhaps I need to feed the gerbils :)

jellybean, if you haven't already thought of this, set your preferences to 20 posts per page instead of 50 or 100. It helps, believe me! I have to do it! That way, in a graphics intensive thread, at least you only have to sit through 20 posts of graphics to open instead of 50. Try it and then come back. :)
