Moi. I'd put breasts on him and a pair of rubber shorts.

Then again, I could be banned.

No, I'm am taking note that the pot is calling the kettle black.

The GOP just passed homeland security, has passed the Patriot act with out even reading it and passed the Kennedy/Bush education bill, Farm bill and other major increases in government spending. The GOP used to say it was the party of smaller government. Fact is, it no longer has any principles and has moved so far to the left that there is rarely any meaningful distinction between democrat and republican platforms.

Well, like it or not, something had to be done with the culture of mutual exclusivity that the CIA, FBI etc. had going. Plus most of these organizations have to be purged of the Clintonoids. In realization of this, Bush pushed hard against he civil service unions taking or retaining control of the groups. This the only way to do it. Otherwise, they become like the Postal Service, a clearinghouse for "diversity" and other PC crap. There is no excuse for much of the crap appended onto the Homeland Security bill, and our esteemed Congresscritters need to be reminded of that. I agree with you re: the Farm bill and the ed bill. I can only offer that Bush had to appease some groups and suck up to enough swing congressmen to get legislation passed. He must have done something right, as the last election showed. If there is one thing the liberal Dems have taught us, it is that incremental changes add up, and patience is a virtue.

Bottom line though, and back to the topic at hand, can you seriously say that there would be no difference if Gore were President today vs. W? Gore is a wimp and a crybaby, and surely would have found a way to apologise to OBL for letting the World Trade Center offend his religion!

I have trained a new African Grey Parrot I named Queeg to talk. He prefers to listen mostly to Democratic talking points and Gore speeches to learn. Don't know why. He's an odd little fellow.

He just sits around all day and drones: "NORWOOD/DINGLE, DINGLE/NORWOOD, LOCK BOX, LOCK BOX, SQUAWK! ZEITGEIST, GRAVITAS, NO CONTROLLING AUTHORITY, NO CONTROLLING AUTHORITY, SQUAWK!

It's driving me insane. I think I'll take him back and get a Norweigen Blue.

I can't wait for George Will to take him up on the offer to give an interview on the topic of "Postmodernism and the role of Narcissism, Nihilism and Zeitgeist is present day politics".

In my mind's eye, now I can see my dream show: Algore facing George Will, William Safire, and William F. Buckley in a panel discussion on "Postmodernism and the role of...", uh, all that other stuff. <snort!>

I can dream, can't I?

Never use a small word when a big, impressive word will do.

Remember when Gore slipped up during the debates and identified himself as a communist by doing just that?

Algorebatross was mentally deranged LONG before his loss to Dubya.

Just as we were all warned....Looks like he hit the nail on the head.

So that would make AlGore himself a "postmodernist" wouldn't it?

Nope. By his own admission, he described himself as a *Maximalist.*

If you're not used to hearing that term used to describe American political thought, it's because a foreign term is more often used: Bolshevik.

Keep the parrot. Trade Gore in.

Lovely plumage, the Norwegian Blue....
