Palestinian Authority legislator threatens US with suicide attacks

Palestinian legislator Nahed Munir al-Rayis has warned the US that its Middle East policy will lead to suicide bombing attacks, Palestinian Media Watch revealed Tuesday.

According to the group, which monitors the Palestinian media, Rayis' November 25 column in the official Palestinian Authority newspaper Al-Hayat al-Jadeeda charged President George W. Bush with attempting to "isolate" and "incite" the Muslim world against America. This, he said, will leave Arabs and Moslems no choice but to carry out "suicide attacks against the United States, its armed forces, and its navy."

It's just talk. Won't happen. By tomorrow Palestinian leaders will be disavowing this statement. Because of the way Bush has reacted to 9-11 there is some uncertainty in the Arab world. This is the way the Arabs operate, when they fear someone they talk, when they don't, they attack without warning. They fear us now.
