[history]
A billboard of newly elected Republican Sen. Norm Coleman along Interstate Hwy. 94 in St. Paul was defaced with swastika markings and other Nazi references, apparently sometime Wednesday night, according to St. Paul police.
Senior Cmdr. Lisa McGinn said police are investigating the incident as property damage and possibly a hate crime. Coleman is Jewish.

Coleman is Jewish? LOL! I'll bet I'm not the only one who didn't know that. Probably the ones who painted the swastikas and said he was part of the SS (Nazi secret police) are liberals who were calling him a Nazi, and didn't know he is Jewish either.
LOL!
These must be the same ones who planned the Wellstone memorial.

Some of Lake Wobegon's finest, no doubt.

Probably the ones who painted the swastikas and said he was part of the SS (Nazi secret police) are liberals who were calling him a Nazi, and didn't know he is Jewish either. Exactly. As long as they feel he's a Nazi, it's okay to spraypaint it over his face. Heaven forbid they actually know something about the man.
To: ArcLight
Keillor's the first suspect who came to my mind too!
To: sarcasm
Well, like Tom Dassh*le said some people just aren't satisfied with listening -- they get to emotionally involved....and Garrison Keillor and all his Garrison Keillor wannabes create a very shrill environment where it is just too tempting for a leftist....

Liberals are so tolerant. This is a great way to get the DFL back in the mainstream of Minnesota public opinion. [/sarcasm]
Revenge is best served cold I guess. These idiots will have to eat it cold for at least the next six years.

"Mr. Kahn? Rick Kahn? Yes, this is Detective Nordahl of the St. Paul Police Department. I was wondering if you could tell us where you were this past Wednesday night?
"I see. Alone? You always go to bed right after the Will & Grace rerun at 7 PM? OK, well, thanks. We'll be in touch."

I wonder how many other vandalism acts in the twin cities make the newspaper? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say none.
Call me crazy.

And your point is?
To: governsleastgovernsbest
Well the other billboards (and whatever else) that get tagged by vandals don't warrant an article in the paper. But since Coleman wasnt the star tribune pick for the senate the paper will write up the vandalism as though the nazi references have merit, to them it does. Never mind Coleman is a jew. Nice huh?

The notion that the newspaper reported on the vandalism because it agrees that Coleman is a Nazi strikes me as extremely far-fetched, particularly since the effect of the story is much more likely to generate sympathy for Coleman.

The DFL rally, I meant memorial service, I really meant the CPUSA rally, really helped push the Republicans to win here in Minnesota. This will marginalize the DFL even further. I'm just wondering when what's left of the DFL gets really violent.

If they would dance on the grave of Wellstone, why should we be surprised at this.

Ah.. a classic Old Left stunt. Kinda makes a fella nostalgic for the 70s and 80s.
Probably Mondale's people from days gone by.
You really can't call yourself a life-long Republican activist until you've had a few full-arm Nazi salutes. You get extra points when you get one of them OFF of a college campus.
Welcome to the tolerance club, Norm.

Around here, anytime anything is defaced with swastikas it is reported in newspapers and TV. Shine the light on the rats..it keeps them in their holes.
To: wallcrawlr
ughhh...
Y'know this reminds me of a Fox News Channel poster in a NYC subway station that was defaced with swastikas on all of the news personalities faces. Even Alan Colmes (a Jewish Liberal) was defaced with a swastka along with the other Fox news people.

Yup. The "liberal" propaganda machine worked pretty well for a long time. I'm not the shiniest penny in the roll, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out the *real* fascists - and it ain't the republicans. Pretty scary stuff, but the electorate is showing some signs of life. The new "liberals" hate freedom, because it interferes with their weltenschaung - can't have folks running around doing what's in their best interest or happiness.
The Democrats need to get their Party back, frankly. Electing a socialist from San Francisco to head the House --that ain't the way to go about it, either. My gosh, that's just insanity. It's going to get a lot worse for the Democrats before it gets better. What *are* they thinking?
To: sarcasm
FYI...Some Du'ers think a bunch of Freepers did this to make the Dem party "look bad". The DU thread on this news issue is an interesting read on hipocrisy and twisted justification on why a swastika on a rep's head is not a crime regardless of religion.

Maybe its his mother who is jewish? That is, actually, how Jewish identity is passed down.

unbelieveable.

I see the liberals have come out from under their rocks to "celebrate" their hate.
SoreLoserman still applys.
To: Freedom4US
The Democrats need to get their Party back, frankly WHAT? Let them continue the way they *are*!
To: paltz
That URL doesn't work for me. I get a 404 error. (maybe they pulled it out of embarrassment - but that would assume they have the capacity to feel shame...)

I still have my Tshirt!
To: paltz
It's NOT called DU, it's called FU. Because every thread has at least one FU in it. They can't help themselvses. They're so liberal.
To: Terriergal
I still have the "SoreLoserman" sign I used at Cheney's house protesting Gore. Lost my ticket stub from the Rebulican bus though. Bet Al Gore would pay a lot for that huh....
To: wallcrawlr
This is worse than sick! Look at the two red paint marks on his face!! They are suggesting that somebody shoot him.
