I'd suggest you stop the NG and Oil imports first, followed by the Hydro. The details aren't that important right now but it'll make for an interesting winter.Canada need to sell stuff including energy to the U.S. much more than the U.S. need to buy stuff from Canada because we have other sources of supply.
Canadian fantasies to the contrary, Canada needs the U.S. exponentially more than the U.S. needs Canada.

"The Canadian response to America.s dilemma is not representative of the Canadian people. It is representative of the leftist pigs that have taken over her political leadership."
They elected and continue to re-elect those pigs. Anybody who thinks that most Canadians don't think that way is wrong. Canada is much like the US in that regard. The urban areas, where the majority of Canadians live, are socialist (even if they don't think so). The rural areas are strongly conservative.
Fortunately, there are more habitable rural areas in the US.

The recent gaffes caused by Cretien and his staff have exposed these cockroaches to the light of the American public. As a result they are rapidly self destructing before our very eyes. This is just one of many articles from the liberal media turning on their masters. Cretien WILL be gone soon and Conservative Canadians WILL get Canada up off the bench and back on the squad internationally. We share this continent and Free Trade between us is mutually essential. I am sure the enemy would like to see us at each others throats over some idiot remark by an irrelavent civil servant. You do need us, albeit to a lesser degree than we you, natural gas, petrolium, hydro power, fresh water and bad comedians are a few that come to mind.

The proof of their mettle will come when they attend to the millions of Muslims they let in, willy nilly, with no attention to their backgrounds, criminal, terrorist or otherwise. I suspect that these recently arrived immigrants will be in for a big surprise if they get to froggy with their Canadian hosts. Canadians are generally rather mild mannered until something really pisses them off. At which point they put down the BC bud and pickup a hockey stick and commence to score bank shots off people's heads.
They have proven their mettle in every armed conflict right at out side for the last century. Now they need to prove their mettle by ousting their leftist Government next election. PLEASE

The rural areas are strongly conservative The problem is that in Canada only the eastern urban areas have clout. The rest of the country has little say in what happens. Just picture what the US would be like if California was running things.

Who beat us?

No. What you Americans haven't figured out is that we get rid of the ones we don't want any more. All those players we send you have to pay a Hockey Talent Export Tax, 45%. We're making a killing.
I played my last game over 40 years ago. And you?

Canadian fantasies to the contrary
So? What do you care. Fantasize keeping warm. We'll worry about it after the first $50 billion are gone.

"Feminists and homosexuals will not do well under Muslim domination."Damned shame they're too f**king stupid to figure that out. Actually, what do they care? Neither is capable of procreating.

One of the problems of French Canada is that they are backward looking instead of looking at the future. This way of thinking is encapsuled by the car plates on Quebec cars. Their motto is "Je me souviens" or I remember. They remember a certain battle more than 100 years ago with the British. With this mentality, no one will confuse them with forward looking people. I pity Canadians in the western part of Canada who have to live under the rule of these types of socialists.

You have this raging hardon to stick it to Canada everyday on FR.Your not content to post lies such as the Liberals got over 60% of the vote in 2000 (!!!) or the one that 85% of Canadians think the US deserved 9/11.You have quite the agenda and since you post obvious lies, none of your shrill complaints can be taken seriously. What's your game, pal?

"All we would have to do is slow them to a trickle by closely inspecting everything and everybody that crossed from north to south."Sure lets teach those Canadans a lessen by shooting ourselves in the foot. I guess hurting Americans and American companies with your schemes don't bother you does it? How about just leaving them alone like the Bush administration is? Would that hurt your ego?
It is their country after all. If they want to be butt heads thats their problem. You don't like it when other countries tell us how to run our country do you?
If you want to inspect everything that enters the country, do it. You don't have to slow trade to a trickle. That would hurt our economy more than it would hurt theirs.

If Canada insists on having immigration policies which make it easy for potential terrorists to gain a foothold on the continent, and if Canada then subsidizes such potential terrorists and allows them to come and go at will, then Canada's internal policies are America's business.
Canada's Liberal Party has been engaged in busily kissing their Muslim population's collective asses so as not to antagonize that voting block.
But in doing so they are allowing Muslim terrorist organizations to raise money and organize.
I believe that makes Canada's internal business our business too.

"I believe that makes Canada's internal business our business too."Not unless you want to grant Canada the same privleges when it comes to the US's internal business.
If you want to negotiate a settlement thats one thing, but you should expect to make concessions. The US has NO BUSINESS dictating to Canada its internal policies. If you don't like it, thats tough.

Canada need to sell stuff including energy to the U.S. much more than the U.S. need to buy stuff from Canada because we have other sources of supply. Sure, sure. You probably think that about the Saudis too. But not even 9-11 could convince the US to find these other sources you babble about. Canadian oil or more Saudi oil? What to do, what to do...
An economics expert you are not.
