Yes, the " world " is in much better shape, now that married men and women don't have to remain abstinent on a majority number of days, just because a bunch of men, in Rome or anyplavce else, said so. When Jesus Christ the Lord of lords is elected President of the United States, all positions will be filled with His true followers. Until that time, it doesn't make sense to pick pointless fights over appointments which don't even effect social policy.
Try to keep your eye on the ball: when it comes to the abortion issue, it's the judges that matter; everything else is too fleeting and subject to political change to get worked up about.

I disagree with you that we are engaged in "demographic warfare" with third-world countries and further, even if we are, I have always taken "third-world countries" to mean, primarily, non-Arab African countries. Heck, I wasn't even aware that Arabs were having babies like bunny rabbits and over-populating themselves to the point where they are experiencing a "population explosion" or something. It's certainly news to me if they are.

I used "Half" far too losely. Its probably closer to 1/5 to 1/3. judging by a quick search.
I refuse to even discuss abortion, on FR, because some people are so over the top, here, that I refuse to read their garbage. I don't suffer fools lightly. They are so beyond the pale, that they do far more harm, than good .
Now that's a fact. I am not one issue either, but far too many abortion people are. They are blinded by that one issue and do great harm to their cause by their posts. They don't even realize the harm they are doing. They sure aren't winning over any converts with their actions.
