Landrieu holds rally, nobody shows up!

Just saw WWL-TV (channel four here in New Orleans) has a reporter at the Municipal Auditorium for Mary Landrieu's campaign rally. Rally was to start at 6 PM featuring a host of local officials (Mayor Nagin will be there among others), with campaign workers expecting 1,500 to 2,000 folks cheering on Mary.
One problem. Nobody showed up! The WWL camera panned the floor of the auditorium and there were maybe 5 people there LOL. So much for Mary getting out the black vote, eh? This election is gonna be a blowout. My prediction is Suzie wins with just above 60% of the vote. Have a good weekend y'all! to my fellow Louisiana Freepers - have fun casting a vote for the winner tomorrow!

Thank you for posting that. I'm going to turn on the cable station that plays nothing but rebroadcasts of WWL news. I've got to see that.

Well done, great report. I hope Landrieu's plane doesn't crash before she gets whupped on Saturday. After Saturday, her 'plane' will definitely crash and burn.

Yep you're right! Good thing you reminded me - they would have missed me at work tomorrow, and I'd be wondering why the polls weren't open LOL

Dear Nolawoady,
Welcome home. Good post. On an important topic. One that makes all of our hearts beat a little fastor.
Our Preident has taught us, that it is up to all of us to fight for the American way.
Spreading the good news about this topic, is a fine way to do it.

That reminds me of the first time another kid pushed me off on a bicycle -- scary and wobbly while scared and unknown -- but easy as pie just the same, once you forget the scary internal boogeymen that pester the start of any new kind of thing.

Really?....is there precedent for such a thing?Yes, the 1996 election. Unfortunately it didn't work as well as it could have.

I thought they used the odd vs. even license plate #'s in that one.

"I hope Landrieu's plane doesn't crash before she gets whupped on Saturday." If it did I'm sure the Democrats would dig up Huey Long to run in her place.

No doubt. A
democr@p Senate candidate trailing late in an election should be placed in protective custody...
