Los Angeles -- The bare-bones waiting room at the Clinica Para Las Americas offers a stark glimpse into the future of public health care for the millions of Californians with no insurance.

Set behind a colorful street mural, the room until recently was jammed with patients, most of them immigrants and the working poor from the surrounding neighborhood, known as Pico-Union. The clinic provided not only free treatment but also preventive care, and it was saving the overextended county hospitals tens of thousands of dollars as part of an innovative program.

"It's not fundamentally fixing the problem, but we have to do something quickly."

Perhaps the fundamental problem is several million largely illegal aliens, who are not productive enough to afford basics such as health care without subsidies from you and I.

You will notice the majority of the President Bush supporters will only lurk and gawk at this post. But will remain silent, until this immigration lunacy knocks on their doors. It's later than they think.

From Georgia, to South Carolina, to Texas, to Utah, and Colorado, it's coming home to roost, bet the rent!

There are also articles like this one in the Indianapolis Star:

Police nab 25 in meth probe - Authorities say ring made drugs in Mexico, then distributed them at a Westside car lot..

If we deported the legions of illegal aliens who are sucking on the system, there would probably be ample care for all who remained.

This gets confusing. We're always hearing how these illegals are putting more into the system than they get back, and then another article like this comes along and bursts our bubble!

Of course, it's all those mean-spirited "Bush cuts" that are to blame. If the Feds would just send more money....
