I received the 2002 Whitehouse Christmas card (postmarked Crawford, Tx.) and wanted to share it with any and all.

The guy proclaimed Jesus Christ has his hero in a public politcal debate for goodness sake.

That was before his approval numbers were above 65%. Besides, he only said that to get the fundie vote.

Chill out. It's a beautiful card. You have to be brain dead if you are not aware of the President's and Laura's devotion to Christ. Most important, Christ knows! This card was sent to people of all faiths. It is classy and appropriate.

I get the feeling that our friends AppyPappy and NY Catholic are upset that the President is restoring the dignity to the White House and providing a proper moral role model. I think they thought the Clintons were a sign of the second coming and now, it seems like the Bushes might mess this up.

Yeah, I know it doesn't make much sense, but the posts they are leaving don't either.

To All--I feel that my faith is being attacked on a daily basis. I live in NYC and I stand and walk tall in my faith. I am married with 2 children under 3...so I have hope and faith in God and this NAtion. However, it seems to me that Professing Christianity or being a "Protector of the Faith" is getting harder and harder each day. My example of the Whitehouse Christmas card probably is NOT the BEST example to prove America is turing more Secular each day. This scares me, well actually I fear for my Children. I do like GWB and I was very surprised to see a PIANO on the FACE of a "Christmas Card." Thats all. Enough said on the subject by me.

My card (also mailed from Crawford with a flag stamp)has a quotation from the Bible--

FOR THE LORD IS GOOD; HIS MERCY IS EVERLASTING;AND HIS TRUTH ENDURETH TO ALL GENERATIONS. --PSALM 100:5

Why don't you read the Bible. You will find that Christ and his Appostles warned us to be strong in our faith and expect to be attacked for it.

The problem is that you attacked a decent Christian just because he didn't meet your particular standards. George W. Bush was elected to be President of all Americans, not just the Roman Catholic Sect of the Christian Church! As such, our President makes a special effort to be considerate of all Americans.

You need to consider how you can exercise Christian Charity in recognizing the awsome job he has to accomplish for all of us. And stop driving wedges between Americans. We are still trying to heal the cuts caused by the Clintons!
