SOME BASIC TENETS OF THE 21st CENTURY LIBERAL

You must believe that spanking a 5 year old is child abuse, but sucking an infant out of its mother's womb with a metal tube is merely a "choice"

You must believe that a democrat stumping from the pulpit of a black church is "community outreach", but if a conservative candidate shows his face in a white church, it is a blatant violation of Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

You must recognize the death of a liberal candidate as a golden opportunity to hold a "memorial service" and get hours of free media coverage, while the service morphs into a screaming, drooling partisan political rally for the illegal replacement candidate. You must also insist that the conservative opponent immediately cease and desist from any and all campaign activity for at least one week.

You must believe that liberal politicians denouncing the President of the United States while visiting the capital of a hostile nation is simply the obligation of "the loyal opposition".

You believe that Jimmy Carter successfully negotiated lasting peace agreements with N. Korea and between Israel and the Palestinians.

You must believe that the judgement of the United Nations is superior to that of a Republican President, and that said President should abdicate U.S. sovereignty to the U.N. on all foreign policy matters.

You must believe that the Judicial Branch of the government exists only to permit liberals to achieve goals that have been deemed illegal by the elected representatives (legislatures) of the people. To you, the law is not a set of rules by which you should abide, but rather it is an obstacle which, all too frequently, is merely an impediment to your agenda - and must be circumvented by whatever means necessary.

You must believe that it is acceptable to open every Congressional session with a prayer, asking the Almighty to guide your actions, but the very mention of God in schools, libraries, post offices and courthouses (just to name a few) should be stamped out with much vigor, as it violates your own perverted interpretation of the First Amendment.

You must believe that there is no such thing as a "maximum income tax rate".

Conversely, you must also believe that persons who pay NO income taxes are nonetheless entitled to "tax cuts".

You believe that the U.S. Department of Education has actually improved education.

You must believe that, no matter how much of a booger-picking moron an employee may be, he is entitled to a "minimum wage", and, of course, firing him for being a booger-picking moron would violate numerous EEOC regulations.

You believe that illegal aliens, convicted felons, deceased persons and non-existent people are entitled to vote.

You must believe that Barbara Streisand, Martin Sheen and their usual band of Hollywood feel-good sycophants are smarter than the average citizen, and are therefore entitled to limitless media coverage to share their "feelings" with the public.

You see no contradiction in praising Franklin D. Roosevelt, the instigator of "Social Security" and denouncing Charles Ponzi, credited with the creation of the cash-flow scheme which bears his name.

You believe that racism and bigotry are major problems in the United States which must be addressed by endless legislation and pontification, but you cannot bring yourself to even mention the fact that slavery is being practiced in the Sudan TODAY.

You must recognize the death of a liberal candidate as a golden opportunity to hold a "memorial service" and get hours of free media coverage, while the service morphs into a screaming, drooling partisan political rally for the illegal replacement candidate.

Actually, Minnesota law required that Wellstone be removed from the ballot and that a candidate replace him as his death happened before the date of no return to replace a candidate on the ballot.

Lautenburg was illegaly put on the ballot in NJ by the RAT Supreme Court.

Thank you for the correction. I was going for the composite effect, I suppose.

It really bothers me when I see conservatives claim that Mondale was illegaly put on the ballot. Because it isn't true. Some recent letters to the editor in some papers I read daily have said just that. And without fail, over the next couple days letters are printed refuting the original letter and making us conservatives look stupid for perpetuating the lie.

Hammer on NJ!

When certan liberal politicians are cited for misuse of public funds the usual response is racism.

Please add: (below the UN sentence..)

But you must also believe that a democrat president instigating an invasion by a defensive-only Western military alliance of a Slavic nation facing internal civil war over centuries-old, deep-seated ethnic hatred is praise-worthy and "peaceful" - though we anow are still occupying that country 10 years later, but attacking a dictator who has killed hundreds of thousands of its own citizens with gas and biological warfare, who has already sent missiles into Israel, who has already attacked its neighbors, who has already attacked the US, and who promises to use nuclear weapons as soon as he builds them, is "warlike."

Excellent... now, tell me again why we still have US troops in Bosnia?? Is it because the Europeans are too lazy and useless to clean their own back yard?

We have to "create a level playing field" no matter how deep the hole necessary to create it.

We must hyphenate all Americans and emphasize our differences so that we can find common ground and unite.

We must continue dumbing down our educational system until America is no longer a threat to the rest of the world.

You believe corporate profits are obscene but government spending is too low and the American people are undertaxed.

You think deficits are caused by tax loopholes.

You don't understand all of the whining about affirmative action and are more than willing to sacrifice someone else's employment or education opportunity to assuage your guilt.

LIBERALS ( Gack! ) believe the NRA is bad, because they stand up for certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because they stand up for certain parts of the Constitution.
