MOBILE, Ala.) December 11 - A small business has been booted from a local mall. Some have apparently complained that the kiosk's product is racist.
The Dixie Outfitters t-shirt kiosk opened the day after Thanksgiving in Colonial Bel-Air Mall. It has been selling up to $3,000 a day in merchandise. "Hectic, very busy, very busy. A very good business. We want to stay." says Audrey Davidson, the clerk at the kiosk on Wednesday.
But the kisok has been asked to leave because some apparently find the items with the Confederate battle flags offensive. "We're not saying either side is right or wrong but we didn't want the mall being used as a battlefield," explains mall attorney Doug Anderson.
Those who fight for the flag blame city leaders for the situation, saying they have not been decisive. "Part of the reason this happened is the city council's decision not to say it's a ridiculous policy, not to allow us to carry the Veterans flag in the Veterans Day Parade," says Ben George, an ardent advocate of southern heritage and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
For many shoppers, the t-shirst are gifts, not symbols of hate. "It's just all history. It's not anything about racism. It's just the flag," says shopper Brenda Cole.
The Dixie Outfitters kiosk will be gone by close of business on Sunday.

Will the mall revoke Victoria's Secret's lease if people complain about the product they sell and are offended that it is available out in the open and in the view of "the children"?
Or how about Spencers Gifts selling of "muscle massagers"? And other various 'adult' items that are readily available for purchase by children?
I suggest the answer is no. The confederate flag and white males are the 2 biggest un-PC things in America and people are free to ridicule, condemn, and oust them from their premises without a 2nd thought or any consequences.

And yet the sticker shop down the way selling stickers with the kid pi**ing on "La Migra" and drug related or "Pimp" or "Future Porn Star" messages on them is not considered offensive?

...white males are the 2 biggest un-PC things in America....White males have historically been the backbone of our American society and what we stand for. To destroy this country you must destroy their influence. Anything which creates racial/social division furthers the cause of the left. They feign outrage at the slightest thing, the present outcry over Trent Lott's comments for example, but if they were to take power tolerance would be the last thing they cared about and blacks would consider the back of the bus to be progress.

Racism, today, is when blacks find white guys offensive. I guess we should all pack up a leave them to fall into the Afrika they desire. Afrika is no vacation spot.

Amen ! Everyone knows us angry white males are only good as 'snipiers' ...
God forbid the country wakes up and realizes that the Confederate flag represents real America more so than today's stars & stripes. Demonizing the Confederate flag and Southern history continues the myth that slavery was the 'just cause' of the treasonous Lincoln when he ignored the Constitution and attacked the Southern member states, ignoring their Sovereign Rights to resist tyranny and excessive taxes.

"I wonder when they'll say that Six Flags cannot fly the Confederate flag......"Because they'll fly the Stars and Bars and very few history-illiterates recognize it as the Confederate Flag, unlike the battleflag.

Interestingly, the local malls (Pittsburgh) have kiosks that proudly sell Negro League merchandise. Some very cool stuff, BTW.
It sells about the same as MLB merchandise which must be a gold mine: I wonder if anybody has the copyright to the logos.

I have tried to find a nice anigif of the stars & bars but have had no luck
(Btw, the anigif I posted is the Confederate Navy flag
The actual battle flag was almost square in design)
