No kidding...that is the most ghastly looking thing. Even though I love sweets, I don't think I could put that stuff in my mouth. But, my daughter thinks it's cool.

Ham, although delicious and one of my favorites, would not on my list of delicate to the taste, or sensitive to the palate fare... LOL

....Soooooo, I would suggest a semi-dry wine and depending upon the glaze if any, somewhat fruity as in Rose', or even a White Zinfandel. Diana, select a respected California winery, as in a bit more expensive. Choosing wine or anything else by price may not be a wise gage in seeking quality. It is better to choose your supplier well,a respected Wine Shop or high end Liquor Store with a wide selection, and ask them to assist you. Ask for a manager and tell him you want his advise, it may surprise you when you put a professional to that test, they are proud to show off their expertise... Keep me posted.

AH, they aren't cookies, but CANDY, nearly no cook at that. I made the mistake and used honey roasted Peter Pan in them and it effected the way they stayed together. They were to soft and didn't stay frozen long enough for me to get them dipped in the chocolate/parafin mix. Guess you could say they are homemade Reese's cups. I did try one year to use a cookie cutter on them to make them fancy. Didn't work to well. When I was first learning to make them I didn't freeze them. Which is the key to fast and easy dipping them.

Peanut butter is one of my favorite cookies too. :-)

Yeah, I'm a real whiz at cut and paste. All the credit goes to Jellybean. I have no clue what all that HTML means.

That is funny, as I was reading the recipe I thought the very same thing, "homemade Reese's Peanut Butter cups. Yes I do agree, using a cookie cutter on these loose babies would be frustrating at best...Thanks so much...any more? LOL

Thank you! I live in East TN so the good selection and high end is pretty much a no go. In my neck of the woods Bud the king of beers is still king. LOL I will go with another idea for a hostess gift. Thank you so much for you input. :)
