My friend told me that you can't just put your trash in a bag and set it out on the curb. The card board must be separated from "dirty" cardboard. Pizza boxes are "dirty" cardboard. Cans must be separated from glass. The liner inside a box of cereal must be taken out of the box and put in a separate container. Grass clippings must be placed no more than 1 foot from the curb and must not extend more than four feet into the yard. Any deviation from the program will result in those items not being picked up by the four or five garbage trucks that come, in a row, at the same time, to pick the crap up.
Recycling is, according to my friend, THE religion of the loony left.

If they tried to impose those regulations around here, you'd have people sorting out anything that had their name on it & then making midnight runs to the stone quarry's, river, and lakes to dispose of their garbage. Everything is biogradable given enough time.
