Spam Museum greets 100,000th visitor

Austin, Minnesota-AP -- A milestone for the Spam Museum in Austin, Minnesota.

The museum dedicated to the processed meat product in a tin has had its 100-thousandth visitor.

A Hormel spokesman says the Spam Museum has had visitors from every state and about 50 countries since it opened last year.

The man who was visitor number 100-thousand got a gift basket of Spam -- and an overnight stay at the local Holiday Inn.

The museum dedicated to the processed meat product in a tin has had its 100-thousandth visitor.........

Among it's most prized artifacts is a can reciently discovered during excavations underneath the Pyramids in Giza. Curators stated that when opened it had the same taste and texture as those canned during the late 1940's.
