Judical Watch reported today that a federal judge ordered Friday that Clinton White House Email be searched related to the FBI Files Scandal.

Judge Lamberth ruled that the e-mail accounts of Ex-President William Jefferson Clinton and Former First Lady/Current U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and many other Clinton Gore officials be searched.

Court Overrules Bush Justice Department Efforts To Block Search

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, reported today that a federal judge ordered Friday that Clinton White House email be searched for email related to the FBI files (Filegate) scandal. The decision, issued by The Honorable Royce C. Lamberth, ordered that the e-mail accounts of Hillary and Bill Clinton and many other Clinton-Gore White House officials be searched. Judge Lamberth overuled the Bush Justice Department’s efforts to block the search into the heretofore hidden Clinton e-mails.

Judicial Watch, which is prosecuting the Filegate $90 million class action lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and other Clinton officials on behalf of those whose FBI files were misused by the Clinton White House, first exposed the e-mail scandal in early 2000 through its client Sheryl Hall, a former top computer official at the Clinton White House, who testified that incriminating e-mail concerning virtually all the Clinton-Gore scandals had never been produced as they should have in response to document requests and subpoenas. Another Judicial Watch client, former White House computer contractor Betty Lambuth, also testified (along with others) that high-level White House officials threatened computer contractors to keep quiet about the hidden e-mail or face jail and firing. These threats occurred in the middle of the Lewinsky scandal. The scandal was the subject of an eight month evidentiary hearing that included the testimony of top Clinton White House officials. The court is in now considering whether to commence criminal contempt proceedings. A decision is expected in a few months.

As a result of Judicial Watch’s revelations, 1,844,242 e-mail from the Clinton-Gore White House were uncovered. This e-mail has never been fully searched in response to subpoenas and documents requests from Judicial Watch, Congress, and independent counsels. The e-mail were restored at a cost to taxpayers thus far of $12,066,346. The e-mail, which is in the custody of the National Archives, must now be searched pursuant to Friday’s court order.

“We look forward finally to obtaining this e-mail after years of stalling by both the Clinton and Bush Administrations. Hillary Clinton was the mastermind of Filegate. She will not escape justice,” stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman.

There is a FAT CHANCE the emails are still around. The
Carol Browner EPA government owned computers were cleared while under subpoena from the court. She walked away from that claiming she just did not know anyhting about it. Do not get your hopes up. This judge is the same guy that
found Bruce Babbitt and Robert Rubin in contempt over the Dept. of Interior problems. He has carried it into finding Gail Norton in contempt. He never seems to be able to conclude a case or acomplish anything. Nobody listens to him
at all. He sent federal marshals into the Commerce Dept. to find missing paperwork the Clinton Commerce lawyers failed to produce. It is all a joke with this guy. Anything this judge ruled on is ignored. It is a show.

Ya never know with Trent Lott gone from the leadership..

Curious coincidence with Gore's announcement?

Now there's an interesting angle.

Everytime I read "National Archives", I have "Raiders of the Lost Ark" flashbacks to the last scene of the movie.

But whether or not this comes to anything, it is funny that for the last year or so, Judicial Watch has achieved such legitimacy in the mainstream media as it went after President Bush. Supposing this should make the evening news, Tom, Dan, and Peter would have a hard time de-legitimacing JW as a right wing kook group.

Stating the FACTS about Klyman is not being pessimistic, but rather REALISTIC. If you haven't figured it out yet, Klayman is about Klayman and FUND RAISING. Klayman has spent EVERY last dime I gave him a few years ago JUST in two to THREE mailings a WEEK to ME ALONE. Klayman has accomplished NOTHING, and unlike Liberals, I thought we should measure success but what ACTUALLY happens, instead of percieved intentions.

I, for one, would be fascinated to read Clinton era White House emails. Even assuming the illegal activities have been carefully and illegally screened out, I would enjoy the peek inside.

I recall a series of stories at that time about this issue too. Seems the Krintonistas were wiping the hard-drives clean from their computers. This was supposed to be in violation of the federal law regarding archives and the White House.

Like 99% of the scandals, this story surfaced for a moment and went away because a lick-spittle press would have lost their place in the buffet line if they did their jobs. In the whirlwind of scandals that was the Krinton White House, some of the final acts were most telling. Good luck, Klayman.

I remember reading that many of those emails were lost because there was some corruption of the backup tapes, which was being blamed on a new systems admin assistant or something along those lines. It's been about two years since I read that story...so my memory might be corrupted.
