(Channahon, Illinois, December 16, 2002, 10:48 a.m.) One day after two fishermen found the body of 3-year old Joshua Gleeson in the Des Plaines River, crews are trying to find his sister, 5-year old Ashley Gleeson.

Around 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning, two men fishing the Des Plaines River south of Joliet, found Joshua's body in the river. His body was found near a boat launch and marina some 48 miles north of Joshua's home in Dwight, Illinois. Late Sunday, authorities identified Joshua's body by using dental records.

Investigators say Joshua died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Early this morning, investigators started combing the area by the river for Ashley Gleeson. Crews are searching the river, area fields by horseback and on foot.

The children's father, Patrick Gleeson, is in the Ottawa County jail. He's accused of killing his girlfriend in Park Township and kidnapping his children from his ex-wife. Gleeson has been refusing to say where his children are.

A second body has been found in the same area, in the river. The authorities aren't releasing any information, yet, but it doesn't sound good.

(Channahon, Illinois, December 16, 2002, 2:45 p.m.) Police are saying that a second body has been found in the Des Plaines River near where three-year-old Joshua Gleeson's body was found.

Police are not saying if the second body is male or female, only that it is that of a child.

Some people see this as a consequence of easy abortion -- if "society" says you can "legally" kill a full-term baby whose body is "born" but whose head is not, then what's the big deal about killing a 2 month-old or even a 2 year-old -- I'm not sure if I agree, but it is something to think about

Christmas is coming and there are two little children who won't be happyily opening presents under a Christmas tree with their mother. You said it. I think it is because we no longer have respect for authority, parents, law, religion and anything else. I t's do what you want when you want and if you bother me I will SUE you and on and on and on.

Until people take responsibility for their actions this will continue. There is no SELF-RESPECT...and without self respect...how can anyone have respect for anything else. There are no manners, kindness, consideration for others. Just greed, selfishness and "all about me" attitude.

This didn't happen overnight. It happened a long time ago when parents gave up their roles as mom and dad. I'm sorry but it begins in the home when the children are young.

Manners, respect for authority and others should all be a given before those kids step out that door. Then we teach everything else in the schools about sex, homosexuality, promiscuity, abortion, condoms, etc...but can't say the name God in the classroom?

There's more chaos in this world today than I can ever remember...Whoa folks....something has to give and I am afraid it's gonna happen. Enough is enough. We need help from a higher power and personally it can't come soon enough for me because we have lost our very soul in this country and so where do you go from there?

I'm tired of hearing about babies and little children being abused or murdered by the scum on this earth. The children don't deserve this. They deserve to live a life of a happy go lucky child and I damn those who take away those precious, innocent lives.
