i figured he would be gone today because yesterday he said he would never resign. Typical Lott right before he caves.
To: TLBSHOW
Todd, life will go on.... it won't stop much of anything. The key is can Lott accept this as a part of his life, learn from it and grow. If he does then he'll be a much better man all around, if not then he'll be hurt deeply and it will surface down the road.
Yes the race pimps and many conservatives went ballistic and now whatever happens down the road they will have to live with... I suspect that the challenges to Republicans hasn't ceased just because this one went the way they wanted, expect others .

Although this was really painful to watch, it was worth it. And anyone who is thinking the Dems "did this
TO us is mistaken. We
ALLOWED them to do it. We
USED them to the
n'th degree. Of course, they'll never admit it and will try to spin it. (Pelosi just said on TV that the Republicans "have been hurt.")
But the bottom line is this: THEY OVERPLAYED THEIR HAND AND WE WON IN THE END!! LOL!
To: copycat
I hope he is Pro Life for if not this will kill the party.
To: AppyPappy
I said "By summer they are going to regret Lott's passage.
You said: "Doubt it. Look at what happened. They brought down the Majority Leader while Democrats were given a pass for the same thing."
Let's one of us bump this thread on July 20th. Ought to be fun, regardless.

Oops - just trying to keep up with those folks who seem so concerned that Frist might appear pro-choice and didn't notice the names! Glad you posted the CORRECT information.

I hate the Dems too....I'm losing my voice from screaming at the TV so much.
To: wayoverontheright
Absolutely. I threw him overboard only when he went on BET and renounced his opposition to affirmative action. It's amazing that we will now have to lobby him to recover his sanity on that issue.
I threw hom overboard ASAP, but then I knew that CAVE A LOT would do just that.

Have a Happy Kwanzaa, Trent!

Pelosi on now saying it was shameful how the Republicans used the Confederate flag as a symbol to win. It was Dems who made the Confederate flag an issue. That white voters rose up and fought back really pisses them off.

Have you looked at the ratings at #240: 0% from NARAL, 100% from the National Right to Life Committee. If Frist is pro-choice, he's hiding it pretty well.
To: Peach
What the RATS have consistantly said about President Bush's outreach to minorities is that he is "fake" and "pandering" and doesn't mean a word of it. The media always picks up the line. I really hate the media.

Oh, wonderful. Rightwing2 and NYCatholic exchanging posts!
Dumb 'n Dumber! I'll let you two figure which one of you is which!
My late Dad would have said about you two, "If they were mine, I'd trade them for an old Coon Dog...and then shoot the dog!"
Merry Christmas and appologies to the Moderator!

Ah, but now the dimms can smell our fear. If we're willing to hand over the Majority Leader, why not a mere judicial nominee?
After all, we don't want to offend anyone, now do we?
To: VRWC_minion
Since then it was only a matter of time the idiot screwed himself. The surprise is he did it so quickly As others have said, better now than closer to the next election.

rightwing2 tries to spread this propaganda based on statements Frist made 8 years ago in his first campaign.
His voting record is 100 percent pro-life according to post 241.

Be patient. I am going to post a very compelling indictment of Frist probably later today with about ten different news cites of Frist's pro-choice comments. He's on Planned Parenthood's s**t listbecause he voted with their views 0% of the time.
He's on NARAL's s**t list because he voted with their views 0% of the time.
His comments are less than relevant in that context. I prefer deeds to words. It's much harder to take a deed out of context than words.

No problem. By the way, I LOVE the Project Vote Smart web page. Cuts through a lot of the smoke and dust and gives us a quick, accurate read on where people stand.

James Carville rests his head on Mary's shoulder, sucking his thumb, and trying to figure out what to do now that "W" outsmarted them ...AGAIN !
