And our military victories do not solve the offensive of Islamic terrorism.This is where the author and I differ. Kill enough of them and they crawl back in their holes. Charles Martel proved it at Tours. They re-emerged many years later, were beaten back and then went into remission.
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk managed to actually civilize them. The same Turks which were massacring Armenian Christians 1914-1918 were embracing the west a short ten years later thanks in no small part to this guy, truly one of the greatest figures of the last century, whom all but the most incorrigible fundamentalists embrace with pride. His tactics and those of Charles Martel deserve careful study by the West.

Nobody cares to fight a good fight. Nobody wants to bloody a nose anymore. Everything is so PC, so ying-yang it's pathetic.

I can remember years ago when Oriana Fallaci was a mild liberal - well, she had the usual ideas. She published a book called "Un uomo", or "A man", based a bit on some political prisoner in Greece under the Colonels. Actually, Panagoulis tried to assassinate Papadopoulos, and when he was let out of prison in the early 70's, Fallaci interviewed him and then moved in with him.
She's enthusiastic. You have to give her that.

The Second Coming - W.B. Yeats
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Pretty sad commentary when the biggest pair in Europe appears to be swinging from a woman.

"...the biggest pair in Europe..."
Shades of Mrs. Thatcher!
There is plenty of precedent...Boadicca, Jean D'arc, Elizabeh I, Catherine..;^)
To: headsonpikes
Unfourtunately, it'll take more than Oriana's hectoring to save Europe from itself this time around.

Do you really think that Europe's got the cajones to deport or massacre 15 million muslims or expel them in any other way nowadays?
To: America's Resolve
Europe won't unless forced into a corner. However, the Turks, Russians and some of the recent Eastern European members of NATO would definitely give it a go.

Did he steal something?? I have always heard that A-rabs whack off yer hand when ya steal somethin'.I call him the Captain Hook mullah. He lost his hand and one eye, damaged another hand in a bomb accident or combat in Bosnia.

You know like and agree with her or not. She writes good it's such a pleasure to read her. The impression I get is she could really give a flying (bleep) weather anyone agrees with her or not.
