Without air conditioning, DFW would be a quiet community of about 100,000 people instead of 5 million.

I still cry every time I visit the Alamo.

If you live in a decent area, thank Robin Hood for your schools. If you don't know what that is, it's socialism. As for taxes, they could be better, but by and large, they are lower than most other parts of the country.

" stop the flow of illegal destitute uneducated mexicans and poverty rates will decline. " Couldn't agree more.

Hell, if you don't like it here...you know the rest. We'll still see you when we come check on our property in Colorado.

Lower taxes? Hell we got NO state income tax. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, California.

Not my plans necessarily but it appears that some think that is the plan whether we approve or not. But major changes will take place across the land mass known as North America. The blue eyed European blue blood will become a minority of smaller and smaller impact as time progresses. Bad or good I don't know but it's the 'new world order'. Isolationism is gone in the age we live in today. Shucks with todays vehicles one can drive across Texas in a good day at the wheel.....
Yes, it's our children, grand children and beyond that will have to deal with it an make the 'new world order' work to their liking. I hope they can.

The society will adapt and change to the conditions as the future evolves for them. It will be different for them just as it was for our generations and those before us. They will make it work and will be fine or at least that's my hope.

Yea or as the head of one such society put it
let them eat cake
To: RnMomof7
Yea, if they don't evolve or adapt then they may have to eat cake. If they get tired of it then maybe they'll pick up a rock and change things....

Did you ever read "The Jungle? " Written by a commie(Upton Sinclair) ..but still a frightening depiction of what happens when there are the rich and the rest of us..I had hoped to leave better to my grandkids..but it just might be that a revolution is good every few generations to remind us of what freedom costs
To: Republic of Texas
I thought I was the only one that did that.

The finest team money can buy-unfortunately Jerry Jones can't buy a team. The Cowboys are a hopeless pathetic embarasment and will be until Jerry fires himself.
Wonder if Tex Schramm and Gil Brandt would consider getting back into football?

An Englishman arrives at a ranch in Texas. He walks up to a cowboy and says " Excuse me, sir. Is your master at home?"
The cowboy says "My friend, the sonuvabitch ain't been born."

He could not have been in Texas lately and did not do much research. Here are a few things for his "poor people and at risk in Texas section. We have a county hospital system that gives our more than 1 BILLION dollars in free health care.
Yesterday while everyone news station was compalining, Channel 8 in Dallas announced that the people gave 75,000 toys to it's childrens charity for 46,000 people.
In Dallas every single homeless shleter program and the best violence against women program in the country are run by the churches. No government funds are necessary, just people helping.
There are plenty of well run programs for recycling done by volunteers. Some of the largest organic companies in the country are in Texas including Whole Foods grocery and all the companies following Malcom Becks, San Antonio based Gardenville program.
The dumb bozo's comment on the Ft Worth museums also shows that he did not walk into the Kimbell Art musuem, The Amon Carter or the Bass performance hall. Each of these was created with private money and supported by the public without the need of taxes as their primary funding. Texas schools are ahead of Calif, NY and lots of other states with kids of all colors scoring at similar leveles on state exams.

The reason there is more a problem with the illegals in Arizona is that the Rio Grande separates Texas from Mexico. It's harder to cross to Texas.
