My transcript of Ellen Ratner's comment on Your World
December 28, 2002
Posted on 12/28/2002 1:42:49 PM PST by Paul Atreides
I taped Ellen RATner's predictions to Brenda Buttner as she filled in on Your World with Neil Cavuto. Here is my transcript of her comments:
BB: You basically saying that he's going to be reelected, I mean essentially unless the economy tanks...
ER: That is unless he messes up the war....my hope.
BB: Your hope?!
ER: Well, I don't want him to be reelected.
BB: Right, but I mean, 'mess up the war,' what do you mean by that?
ER: Do something that will make Americans say 'Maybe we shouldn't have done this.' You know, that kind of thing.
TOPICS: News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: monstrous
I can't think of anything that would 'mess up' the war other than an enormous loss of lives, American lives. It sounds as if that is okay with the RATner, as long as a Dim gets in the White House as a result.

That is what she said. That is what she meant. Dead soldiers are OK with her.

It would have the added "bonus" of less absentee ballots for Bush. Sickening woman!
To: Paul Atreides
They aren't usually quite so frank, although there's a certain vagueness and deniability about what she says even here.
There's no question that many liberals would be happy to see the economy tank, millions thrown out of work, and heavy loss of lives in the war against terror, if that's what it takes to re-elect the Democrats. The name of the game is gaining power and holding it, at whatever cost--to somebody else.

Exactly. The libs don't care about the welfare of the nation, only about power.

I would say her comments make her a traitor to her country and therefore a criminal. This is not free speech. This is evil. She should be punished.

Not to sound like an imbecile or anything, but . . .
Just who is Ellen Ratner?
And why should I care what she says?

I've always known that. It was always hard for me to lump Jimah Carter in with the satanic left until events of the past year. I think it is becoming clearer to jews in this country just where they stand with the left.

She should be banned from any further appearances on Fox is she doesn't apologize. I can understand her wish that Bush will be defeated politically. I abhor her "hope" that he somehow "messes up the war." Only a disturbed person can wish something so awful. But then, the RAT media will let her slide, because they probably think like she does. God how I hate these people.
To: Paul Atreides
Thanks for posting this. I was watching the show and couldn't believe it and knew I could count on a Freeper to get this out. She also was a very enthusiastic supporter of Hillary and noted that Hillary was more popular than the First Lady. Yeah right. What she said was dispicable but thankfully she engaged in this rare moment of candor and revealed just how morally bankrupt the left can be. The left has a national security problem. They are still angry we won the Cold War. If only we would just build more day care centers like Osama bin Laden>

Ping to Mr. H- please! Ratner brings shame upon former Clevelanders both great and small.

I think she is, or was the "balance" at WND.
To: Paul Atreides
Bouquets to Brenda for jumping on her statement and not letting it slide.
To: Paul Atreides
Of all the annoying liberals on TV, I find Ratner the worst. She is an entirely predictable, talking-points spouting nincompoop.
I note from a post above that she is a "graduate" of Harvard. Not that graduation from Harvard is proof of much, but somehow I am dubious about this. I would be very curious to know just what kind of degree she holds.
I have a sneaky feeling that she participated in some kind of special series at Harvard, not a true graduate degree program.

A Google search indicates Ratner has a Masters of Education from Harvard.

Good evening, my friend, If this Thursday morning is like the previous two Thursdays, I will be on the air live with Ellen Ratner at 6:25 a.m. Eastern, on "American Breakfast." I will be there for sure. If Ellen shows up, electronically, I will challenge her on whether she should resign or be fired from Fox News.
If I get to go head to head with her, I will report back here as part of a thread to get the word out on Ratner.

I think I had only heard of Ellen Ratner a few times, in passing, on Rush's program. It really wasn't until this, and mention of something else she said, being told on FR that I really heard anything that she has said.
She thinks you and everyone should care what she says. When Brenda Buttner stated that Bush I won the Gulf War, Ratner replied "I was against that war too." As if her opinion is the ultimate authority!
To: Congressman Billybob
That will be great! I can't wait to hear how it goes.
To: Paul Atreides
This only shows the truth of the statement made by Wayne LaPeire of the NRA, when he said that the (Clinton) administration was willing to allow higher crime rates and victimization in order to accomplish their political goals. This just shows the thinking of a DEMONRat. "Well, if lots of soldiers die, then the country will get upset with the President... Besides, the military usually doesn't vote our way, anyhow..."
Moral bankruptcy doesn't even begin to cover what this is...

A Google search indicates Ratner has a Masters of Education from Harvard.School of Education... Lowest SATs and highest GPAs... Rober Heinlein had some pretty mean words to say about schools of education, in fact, one of his characters had a PHd in education, and his doctoral thesis was on "nothing." Zeb Carter from "Number of the Beast." However, Dr Walter Williams also has a few choice words to say about so called schools od education, as does Thomas Sowell.

It reminds me of the time Donna Shalala stated that those who fought in Vietnam were not the best and the brightest.
