Lately, with the current nuclear weapons crisis in North Korea, there has been a large number of threads devoted to the topic on Free Republic. With the war in Iraq imminent, North Korea's megalomaniac dictator, Kim Jong Il, has decided this is the time to play WMD brinksmanship with the Bush Administration. Not surprising, really, as this game has been played successfully before with the Clinton Administration.
It was the threat of North Korean acquisition of nuclear weapons under Kim's father, the equally tyrannical Kim Il Sung, that lead to the appeasement accord negotiated by former President Jimmy Carter on behalf of then-President Bill Clinton. Without getting into the details of how much Clinton and Carter paid the North Korean Communists for lip service to nuclear non-proliferation, suffice to say that it was always clear there would be predictably regrettable consequences for the malfeasance of these Democrat Presidents. The hatchlings of those chickens' eggs are roosting in North Korean reactors and the DMZ right now.
As the news has been breaking the past two weeks, it occurred to me that the cowardice of Clinton and Carter shouldn't fall into the amnesiac memory hole of the complicit mainstream media. These two men have brought this upon the world. I've made it a little personal project to post a Clinton Appeasement Montage (NK) of photos reminding us of the craven capitulations of those two Presidents (as well as their stooge, then-Secretary of State Madeline Albright) on every thread dealing with the North Korean crisis that I've seen on Free Republic.
Here it is:
Well, I'm sure you noticed the same thing I did when I posted the Clinton Appeasement Montage (NK) this morning. The link to the second to last photo is busted, hence the dreaded "red X."
"No problem," I thought, as I recalled seeing that same photo elsewhere while doing my original Google Image Search for the Clinton Appeasement Montage (NK) last week. "I'll just replace it with one of the other ones."
The picture was a posed, official North Korean photo of Madeline Albright's visit to North Korea a few years ago. Some have compared her visit to Henry Kissinger going to China to meet Mao Tse Tung. A better analogy is Neville Chamberlain licking Adolf Hitler's boots.
In any event, I began another Google Image Search for pictures of Albright and Kim. Much to my surprise, of the four pictures from that Albright-Kim photo op that I saw last week, the links to three were broken. One was from an AP site, two of the others were to a recently closed site that looks like it was North Korean. Here's a condensed version of that search

The only remaining image from that photo op is on the far right, and it's on a Brazilian BBC page in Portuguese.
Here it is at full size.
Elsewhere, not through an Image search, I found the same picture here.
Now, I don't know that anything nefarious is up with the disappearance of these photos. However, I do find the timing of their disappearances to be rather convenient for those on the Left who would just as soon "forget" who got us into this crisis with North Korea in the first place: the Democrat Party of the United States, under the guidance of Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Madeline Albright.
So, I'll now be including that last photo in the Clinton Appeasement Montage (NK), as well as this new one I've found of appeasement enabler Jimmy Carter with the late North Korean tyrant, Kim Il Sung.
The clintons brought the worst of the worst to their admin. Incompetent know nothings like Allbright that they could control.
I recommend all Freepers start saving copies of photos, news stories, etc. away from links to the web. There are Clintonistas burrowed into all of the media, and we might find it difficult to prove anything in a year or so if we have not saved the information.
I had received a Christmas letter from a pair of (flaming liberal) former neighbors who had moved to Key Largo. They wrote of how they has volunteered for the democrat party last year, and how they were "extremely upset at all the warmongering that they were seeing on the news" of late.
I wrote them back:
Thanks for the Christmas letter. I am attaching ours...Yeah, it's pretty depressing watching the news again after 3.5 years. (Yes, I finally broke down and put in a satellite dish last week).
It's just too bad that there was not more concern back in 1994 when the former resident of the White House used your and my money to build that nuclear plant in North Korea with which they are now producing plutonium for bombs. One should never make a deal with a regime that is out to destroy you.
Then of course, the same man sold our nuclear weapons secrets and missile guidance technology to the Chinese in exchange for campaign contributions. (Remember Maria Hsia and AlGore at the Buddhist Temple?)
Same peace-loving friend of the little guy who fired off cruise missiles and killed innocent civilians at an aspirin plant in the Sudan and a few goat pens in Afghanistan just to get the media attention away from Monica Lewinsky.
And I'm sure you know that he refused to take Osama bin Laden into American custody when the Sudanese offered him to us in 1996.
He did nothing after the US Embassy was bombed in Saudi. Nothing again when the USS Cole was bombed in Yemen. He was an appeaser of the Neville Chamberlin school, more interested in getting elected than protecting his country from terrorists.
I'm sorry, but Clinton made the world and unsafe place for Americans. Thank God we have some adults in the white house now to clean up some of these messes. I just hope it can be done at this late date without the loss of too many American lives. But it must and will be done.
It's commendable that you both are involved in politics. I just think you are working for the wrong party.
Merry Christmas--
I could have included those pix!
Surely "Piece Prize" is what you meant to type, right?
--Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright, Address Campaign to Preserve U.S. Global Leadership at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Washington, D.C., May 17, 2000
Don't expect the mainstream media to make much about this. The media elite and the networks have a liberal bias. They don't need to plan how to slant the news, it just comes naturally to them. The media has reached the point that when it comes to reporting news where Liberals and Democrats are involved they make sure to select and frame the issue, filtering as much information and controlling its distribution.
