What is Campbell's team going to do about: (A) Voter Fraud, which can turn up HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of votes in LA, SF, and SD which was clearly done to give Gore the State in 2000 and (B) What will he say about illegal immigration?

GOP pair to vie for Senate
Assemblymen John Campbell, Ken Maddox will duel for Ross Johnson's seat.By MARTIN WISCKOL
The Orange County RegisterRepublican Assemblymen John Campbell and Ken Maddox each announced Thursday that they would seek the state Senate seat of Ross Johnson, who is stepping down next year because of term limits.The decision sets the stage for a fiercely competitive race in the predominantly Republican district, which stretches from Seal Beach to Laguna Beach. Both candidates handily won re-election last month and are popular in their districts, which both include parts of the contested Senate turf."It's a tossup," said political consultant Harvey Englander. "It's always fun to watch two elected officials from the same party go at it."
Because of District 35's heavily Republican composition, the primary victor in March 2004 is expected to win easily in the general election.
Both Campbell and Maddox have solid reputations in the GOP but are easily differentiated by their backgrounds and voting records.
Campbell is a certified public accountant and car dealer who grew up in Los Angeles and gathered degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California. Maddox was raised mostly in Texas, where his father was often unemployed and existence was sometimes hand- to-mouth. When he began college, Maddox lived out of his Plymouth Horizon. He was a Tustin police officer before being elected to the Assembly.
While generally voting the GOP line, Maddox has occasionally irked fellow Republican legislators with his support of pro-labor measures. Prominent among these is the eight-hour workday, which requires employees to be paid overtime when working more than eight hours a day. Campbell favors a return to the previous law, in which an employee had to work more than 40 hours a week before receiving overtime.
Maddox has already won the endorsement of the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association and is expected to gain backing from other local and statewide police and firefighter unions, which have endorsed him since he was first elected to the Assembly in 1998.
"I've consistently worked on behalf of working families," said Maddox, who is in the process of moving from Garden Grove to Dana Point. Garden Grove is not in Maddox's Assembly district, but state law requires residence in the district only at the time of candidate's filing – not after being elected.
Campbell came out of the gates Thursday with endorsements from Johnson and from Senate Republican Leader Jim Brulte of Rancho Cucamonga. Campbell, first elected in 2000, touts his leadership, particular being the ranking Republican on the Assembly Budget Committee.
"Although I've been in the Legislature a shorter time, I've been more likely to take leadership posts," said Campbell, an Irvine resident.
Maddox countered that he's been central to more legislation. That includes co-authoring the bill establishing the Amber Alert for abducted children and writing the measure requiring a higher level of treatment for sewage pumped into the ocean by the county sanitation district.
In a race that could cost each campaign more than $1 million, Campbell's connections and own bank account are likely to give him the financial edge. But Maddox's first Assembly victory, in which he outpaced two fellow Republicans with more money, showed he can overcome better-funded campaigns.
Based on the Modus Operendi of the Dems in despair of holding the seat, and/or gaining one, it is well known that, it will be a "No Holds Barred" down and dirty, mud slinging, caracter assasination et all, just to WIN.
The BIG question is,... can he handle the heat?...it is well known, that "nice" guys finish last...and I have seen quite a few "nice" guys(I am talking about nice Republicans, mind you, not my best choice), getting pretty clobbered by the Dem's political machine.
The Republican Party in SoCal stinks to high heaven. They do not seem to find their asses with both hands, and so far, managed to botched pretty much every single election, for one reason or another, since Wilson left office.
Look at Sacramento...it is 90% owned by Communists, and God help us in the next 4 Years.

Sorry, but when it comes to conservatism in Kali, the bottom of the glass is barely damp.
So after decades of massive immigration, and the state becoming more & more liberal, Kali voters are going to suddenly have enough of tax & spend liberals, see the light, and start voting conservative, after being enlightened by a no-name Repub candidate. Yeah, that'll happen! It's a sure thing! I believe that!
For what it is worth, I e-mailed his office and got a response yesterday. You are correct Michelle Hart the district director for Assemblyman John Campbell told me “Assemblyman Campbell has announced that he is running for the state senate. He will be seeking to replace Ross Johnson in the 35th district who is leaving due to term limits.” That is what I thought I had heard him say.
