NOTE: the survival of our Republic is threatened by two things -- fundamentalist Islamic terrorists and Hillary Rodham Clinton. President Bush is leading the fight against the terrorists. It is up to those of us who know the real Hillary Clinton to lead the fight against her. We must shine the light of truth on this dangerous woman so that all Americans may know the real Hillary.
#16 in the continuing series.
Hillary Clinton, a carpetbagger, ran for the Senate of New York. During the campaign, almost every appearance was carefully scripted. Only in the debates with Rick Lazio was she not in control.
Because the press refused to do its job, I discussed with Katherine Prudhomme (the Derry, NH homemaker who confronted Algore about Clinton's rape of Juanita Broaddrick) a protest in New York. Katherine was going to visit family, and it would be a perfect opportunity to FReep Hillary Headquarters. With the help of StarFan, abner, evilC, and several others, the event was put together for a Saturday in front of Hillary HQ in New York. Unfortunately, I was unable to go.
Speech written and given by Katherine Prudhomme
Saturday August 19, 2000
Good afternoon. My name is Katherine Prudhomme. I am a wife, a mother, the first female graduate of my trade high schools machine shop program and I am a rape survivor. As such I am wearing a dark green ribbon today to tell the world "I am a rape survivor and I will not be ashamed!" I thank all who have chosen to wear light purple ribbons showing that they believe and support Juanita Broaddrick. Thank you also to the many generous volunteers who helped make this happen today.
Last December during the New Hampshire primary I asked V.P Al Gore during a live, televised town hall meeting at WNDS TV studios not far from my Derry home if he believed Juanita Broaddrick. She is the woman who made the highly credible claim of rape against a sitting president, William Clinton.
Juanita Broaddrick was a volunteer on the "Clinton for Governor" campaign when she says she was raped in a Little Rock, Arkansas hotel room. Broaddrick, a successful nursing home owner with nothing but peace of mind to gain from telling her story was interviewed by Lisa Myers in January 1999. The interview aired February 24 of the same year on the Dateline NBC program.
Most people who saw the interview believed Mrs. Broaddrick. President Clinton, responding through his lawyer, has said this claim is false. Havent we been down this road before with Clinton? And havent we found out what his word is worth? His word is worth nothing. To not believe Mrs. Broaddrick, to think Bill Clinton is not a rapist is to make a liar out of Mrs. Broaddrick. I wont do that! I thank all of you who came out here today for saying with me I believe Juanita Broaddrick!
Al Gore told me he did not see the interview and didnt know how to evaluate all the charges. I wonder what made the Anita Hill case so much easier for him to evaluate? Gore went on to tell me how he thought the American people were tired of all these charges and wanted to move on.
That last statement really made me mad. What is he saying to me? That if I dont "want to move on" then I am not one of the American people? Or is he telling those who still think that rape is a crime in this country and believe their president may be a rapist that they are out of touch with everybody else? Are we out of touch ? I say no! We are in fact in touch! WE are in touch with truth, we are in touch with justice, we are in touch with kindness and we are in touch with doing the right thing! And I wont be manipulated by anyone who may try to tell me otherwise!
Gore has an undeniable record of believing women when they make a serious charge of sexual mistreatment by powerful Republican men. He stood up for and defended Anita Hill when she said she was sexually harassed by now Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Why then did he just dismiss Juanita Broaddrick? One would think such a "caring" person as Gore would have at least watched the interview Mrs. Broaddrick gave to Lisa Myers.
But he did not. Mrs. Broaddrick is simply to inconvenient for him to acknowledge. It takes a strong person to stand up for what is right when it is inconvenient and I learned that day last December that Gore is not a strong person.
Lets move on to a women who has been at the forefront of the womens and human rights crusade for decades. Hillary Clinton is someone that rape survivors such a myself or Mrs. Broaddrick or the brave green ribbon wearers among us should be able to turn to and depend on. But we cannot. Hillary Clinton has betrayed us.
She has words thousands of them that say she is on our side, but is she really? Consider these examples:
In the aftermath of the recent group sexual attacks during New Yorks Puerto Rican Day Parade Mrs. Clinton called for increased penalties on those convicted of group sexual wilding. Of this incident Mrs. Clinton has said "We all looked on in horror at the videotapes because we know these women. They are wives, and sisters, and daughters. They are friends and neighbors. We know that if it could happen there - in broad daylight it could happen anywhere. This is a crime against all women everywhere. And so we have to say enough is enough. This violence is unacceptable and it must stop."
Also consider what Mrs. Clinton said to the Inter-American Development Bank on October 20, 1997, "I am proud that my husband has stood up as President to confront the violence and to protect American women. While grassroots organizing by women is vital to each countrys tackling the crisis, it is only when men from the level of men of the barrio to the level of men of the presidential palaces join hands with us to stand against violence against women that we will know our societies have truly been transformed"
Prudhomme marched into the building an up to the Hillary campaign staff to present them with a video tape of the Broaddrick interview with Lisa Myers. Still no comment from Hillary.
Two months later, Juanita Broaddrick finally broke her silence to write an open letter to Hillary Clinton. It appeared on the Drudge site and several other venues, including FR. I don't think it made the front page of the New York Times.
As I watched Rick Lazio's interview on Fox News this morning, I felt compelled to write this open letter to you, Mrs. Clinton. Brit Hume asked Mr. Lazio's views regarding you as a person and how he perceived you as a candidate. Rick Lazio did not answer the question, but I know that I can. You know it, too.
I have no doubt that you are the same conniving, self-serving person you were twenty-two years ago when I had the misfortune to meet you. When I see you on television, campaigning for the New York senate race, I can see the same hypocrisy in your face that you displayed to me one evening in 1978. You have not changed.
I remember it as though it was yesterday. I only wish that it were yesterday and maybe there would still be time to do something about what your husband, Bill Clinton, did to me. There was a political rally for Mr. Clinton's bid for governor of Arkansas. I had obligated myself to be at this rally prior to my being assaulted by your husband in April, 1978. I had made up my mind to make an appearance and then leave as soon as the two of you arrived. This was a big mistake, but I was still in a state of shock and denial. You had questioned the gentleman who drove you and Mr. Clinton from the airport. You asked him about me and if I would be at the gathering. Do you remember? You told the driver, "Bill has talked so much about Juanita", and that you were so anxious to meet me. Well, you wasted no time. As soon as you entered the room, you came directly to me and grabbed my hand. Do you remember how you thanked me, saying "we want to thank you for everything that you do for Bill". At that point, I was pretty shaken and started to walk off. Remember how you kept a tight grip on my hand and drew closer to me? You repeated your statement, but this time with a coldness and look that I have seen many times on television in the last eight years. You said, "Everything you do for Bill". You then released your grip and I said nothing and left the gathering.
What did you mean, Hillary? Were you referring to my keeping quiet about the assault I had suffered at the hands of your husband only two weeks before? Were you warning me to continue to keep quiet? We both know the answer to that question.
Yes, I can answer Brit Hume's question. You are the same Hillary that you were twenty years ago. You are cold, calculating and self-serving. You cannot tolerate the thought that you will soon be without the power you have wielded for the last eight years. Your effort to stay in power will be at the expense of the state of New York. I only hope the voters of New York will wake up in time and realize that Hillary Clinton is not an honorable or an honest person.
I will end by asking if you believe the statements I made on NBC Dateline when Lisa Myers asked if I had been assaulted and raped by your husband? Or perhaps, you are like Vice-President Gore and did not see the interview.
Of course, Hillary made no comment. To this day, she has made no comment about her husband's rape.
More recently, however, Hillary did comment on rape. She became a champion of the rape victim again with legislation for providing rape kits for those vicitms of sexual assault.
Juanita made a comment which was published by NewsMax:
Juanita Broaddrick Slams Hillary's Anti-Rape Hypocrisy NewsMax.com ^ | April 30, 2002 | Carl Limbacher
Arkansas businesswoman Juanita Broaddrick had some advice Tuesday morning for newly minted anti-rape crusader Sen. Hillary Clinton: Before you worry about America's sexual assault victims, first clean your own house.
"It's just very bizarre," Broaddrick said, reacting to Sen. Clinton's new anti-rape legislative initiative, in an exclusive interview with NewsMax.com.
"You just wonder if she shouldn't start at home with this crusade," she added - a reference to her own ordeal at the hands of ex-president Bill Clinton, who Broaddrick says brutally raped her 24 years ago this week.
"If Hillary can accept what Bill did to me, then she shouldn't even be involved in anything like that," the Clinton rape accuser complained.
On Friday Sen. Clinton told the New York Times that she was sponsoring legislation to speed up the processing of DNA evidence against men accused of rape before they can rape again.
"We've had a steep increase in the number of reported rapes here in New York City," the New York Senator complained. "It is now apparent that unless we process this information and start putting it to use, we are likely to see people who are serial rapists continue their crimes when we could have apprehended them before they could strike again."
In her remarks to the Times, the former first lady made no mention of Broaddrick's allegation against her husband. Neither did Mrs. Clinton reference former White House volunteer Kathleen Willey's accusation that Mr. Clinton had sexually assaulted her in a 1993 White House attack.
Still, even without mentioning Mrs. Clinton's hypocrisy on the issue, the Times apparently felt her rape comments were too bizarre for hard news coverage, and buried them instead in a Monday Bob Herbert column headlined, "Weapon Against Rape." (See: Hillary in New Anti-Rape Crusade)
NewsMax's coverage of Mrs. Clinton's remarks, which included observations like, "Every two minutes somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted," made her the target of ridicule from the crew of radioman Don Imus Tuesday morning.
"Here she is going on about every two minutes somewhere in America someone is sexually assaulted," complained Imus gossip maven Christie Musamechi. "I wonder how many of those women are in Chappaqua" where Mr. Clinton lives.
It is my hope that Queen Hillary cannot hide from her husband's rape(s) forever. Did she commit them? Of course not. But she is certainly complicit. She has no credibility to talk about victims of sexual assault when her own husband is a serial sexual predator. His activities got a free pass. It is Hillary, behind the scenes, who was responsible for destroying anyone who could testify against she and her husband. Yes, just like Katherine Prudhomme (on the day before her New York protest appearance), Paula Jones, and others, Juanita was audited by the IRS.
