Middle of the road means staying on the yellow stripe and eventually becoming roadkill.

My 2 cents? I don't care for moderates of either side, because they don't stand for much of anything. I live in the Deep South, and in years past have voted for and supported conservative democrats.

If they were strong defenders of the Bill of Rights, and supported the military, I figured we could argue about the other stuff later, and they were more conservative than "moderate" Republicans. Way back when, anyway.

Moderates are liberals that haven't come to grip with how truly self-centered they are...

The differences between moderates. A moderate Republican is a republican who is pro-abortion, pro-death penalty, doesn't like taxes, thinks government can solve most problems but then complains that it always screws up, is indifferent to social issues, and supports gun control, a liberal republican is one who supports some forms of affirmative action (they just don't know which ones), is pro-abortion, thinks government can solve problems but believes instead of tax cuts, it takes fiscal disipline to reduce waste and fraud, talks about smaller government (but doesn't know what that means), is far left on the enviornment, supports gun control, supports states rights (but only on issues they believe in) and isn't a socialist (in there minds at least). A conservative democrat is somone who supports the 2nd amendment, doesn't like taxes, and is pro-death penalty (think Zell Miller).A moderate democrat (according to the media) is anyone who supports the death penalty. A liberal is just an out and out socialist who hates the constitution. Some people believe (and they are wrong) that libertarians fall into the moderate republican territory.

A web search shows that this guy is a biology professor

It is obvious that he is not a math professor. I've run the numbers myself, and, as usual, Rush is right.
