What are the ethics and legal position behind aiding illegal activity?

BTW I would never put anything in the bottles. My post was intended to convey humor. It was also intended to indicate that there is a line drawn between ethical/legal that is different for nearly all individuals.

Some really do believe it would be ok to put something in the water. Some think that would be wrong. Similarly, some think it would be OK to remove the water, yet still others think that would constitute murder.

Indeed, these are the extremes, which are both humorously absurd IMO.

I appreciate the intent, but there's just a few too many idiots out there to make me comfortable with that kind of joke.

Gee, I guess that means that booby traps and land mines are out...

And if I was on patrol I would be carrying pepper spray as well because I doubt the border jumpers will want to stay still once they are found out and the US Border Cops are on their way.

Be careful what you say, JimRed. You may make RonF uncomfortable.

its not about being hating the Mexician People. Its about the fact that they are here illegally. If people are going to come to this country they need to come on a legal basis.

So then I guess you would be in favor of repealing immigration laws with Mexico so the citizens of each country could come and go as they please?

Legal, illegal, all it is is an arbitrary distinction. If it's really not about hating the Mexican people, lets get rid of immigration laws and then everyone will be legal. Then you'll be happy, right?

No. We're not "at war," and it's not "an invasion."

It's simply the result of a lack of political lack of will.

Instead of engaging in all this shrill rhetoric, if people like Simcox and yourself would simply put pressure on the politicians, along with all others (like myself) who believe that illegal immigration is a vital issue, the problem WOULD be solved, and it wouldn't require all the silly and highly inappropriate military metaphors that people like you and Michelle Malkin feel you have to resort to (and which actually help defeat your argument).

If you don't think we are being invaded right now, just look to the 19 Al Qaeda that slipped through Canada untouched last week (according to the NY Post)

the politicians

But look what the Mexicans are having to do to get their politicians to listen. Being polite doesn't seem to work all that well. I think we need to take lessons from the Mexicans at this point because their tactics do seem to be working better than ours.

Any water jugs left for the use this army of invaders should be destroyed.

The Federal Government should be deploying the National Guard along our southern borders, and putting economic screws to Senior Fox that will make Mexico SCREAM until they stop this.

In the meantime, my best wishes to the heros in the Arizona Militia and I hope they have plenty of ammo with them.

I'm in favor of the citizen's patrols. A few of us went down to the California/Mexico border last spring to amke contact with some local private land owners, drive some back roads and do a recon for possible similar action.

The locals advised us to adhere strictly to California Vehicle-Firearms laws because just driving on the roads were were going to drive on would gather fuzz like blue serge. They were right. We were stopped and checked twice by county deputies who lets us know, in no uncertain terms, that citizen patrols were not going to happen in California.

So were're a Four Wheel Drive Geology group now.

(and which actually help defeat your argument).

Nope, what "defeats the argument" is the lack of courage by many to be willing to withstand the PC onslaught if they raise their voice against the illegal invasion. The argument will only be won when enough people are angry enough about it to finally stand up and be counted. I say angry because a certain degree of that will be necessary. I suspect that Michelle Malkin, who you decry, will have more effect in getting something done about this illegal activity than any timid comments or action that you, or people you approve of, will take.

Regards.
