Freeper Don Bell will be running on the ticket with Senator Virgil Moore for Kentucky Governor
email | January 9, 2003 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 01/08/2003 9:19:31 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Just received word via some of our Kentucky FReepers that Freeper Don Bell will be running on the ticket with Senator Virgil Moore for Kentucky Governor next year.

"Virgil Moore is a very popular State Senator with many years of legislative experience. Don Bell compliments that ticket perfectly because he is an experienced bean counter, has 20 years experience as a Secret Service Agent, and so can do a lot to cure the ills in the bloated budget as well as the many problems within the Kentucky State Police Department."

"At the moment, I see no team running that has more to offer the people of Kentucky."

"Oh . . . . do I think Virgil Moore can win? Yup! There's a good chance there. He has been doing the background work. Adding Don Bell to the ticket will help. So, yeah, this is more than just supposing. . . . . ."

News should hit the wires tomorrow.

That would be great if it were marvelous Freepers such as
Names deleted because of excessive butt-kissing

But would be a bit scary if they were Freepers like
Names deleted so CCC doesn't get his butt kicked

General question for anyone who might know; is this the same Don Bell who published a small newsletter "Don Bell Reports" back in the late 1970s-early 1980s? I had the chance to read some of those newsletters, and found them interesting.

This is great news indeed!!!! Virgil was already my man for Governor, and this is even better!

I'll take this opportunity, as upchuck did, to remind you people that we want all the Kentucky FReepers to attend our Kentucky FReepers meeting on Thursday, Jan 23, 2003 @ Don Pablo's on Hurstbourne Pky @ 6pm. We'll have plenty to discuss, with this great news. Again, all area FReepers (or visiting out-of-town FReepers) welcome!!!

P.S. BTW, I still want to know why local FReepers CreekerFreeper and EastKYRepublican were BANNED .

When is the next gathering? I just sent Don Bell an e-mail. Last time we exchanged pleasantries he was talking about looking at retirement properties in AZ and FL.

Keep me in the loop please.

Thanks for the question bigunreal,

No, FReeper Don Bell was an active Secret Service agent at that time.

He may have been assigned at the Reagan Ranch in that period of time or, the White House or, the duty of security for a retired president.

He also was a watchdog over the security of our nations currency while investigating counterfit money.

Virgil on the other hand, was certainly happy to be home in the early 70's from the trauma of the Viet Nam war, where he was awarded several citations, such as the bronze star for valor.

He left the US Army as a retired Lt Colonel.

Virgil Moore quickly became successful as a businessman and cattle farmer in his Western KY county.

He was so well liked there that he soon was elected county GOP chairman.

This, all before he established himself as the well-respected Ky Republican senator that we all know and love today.

We talked him into the fabeled historic Ky Lt. Governor's mansion where we can go visit him and get into his refrigerator looking for a light beer.

As you know, the gracious Stephanie also makes great coffie.

Just think of the great conversations we will have there on how to dismantle the beomuth of the wasteful state government.

Why even today Virgil is down at his Frankfort capitol office with a sharp pencil, looking to get rid of the run away waste and corruption of the Patton administration.
