I thought you might be trying to be sarcastic, but I threw that theory out right about the time you called me an a**hole. By the way, sarcasm and facetiousness does not go over very well on the Internet.
By "you guys" and "have another bong" I guess that you assume I am a big 'L' Libertarian. You'd be wrong. I'm just a pissed off small 'l" libertarian Republican who is trying to fight the fight inside the party.
He has a point. Like it or not, you're beneficiary of stolen tax dollars in the form of intergenerational welfare payments.
We won't receive it, (Well, I have the hope that they're dumb enough to try, leading to a complete bankruptcy of the US Government even sooner....), but we do have to pay it. SS is a Ponzi scheme, and if we tried to run it, we'd be put in Federal Prison.
Now, I'd also admit that Spiff doesn't seem to know which players are his own teammates.... which could be pretty destructive outside of softball.....

One simple point of moderation : There's a lot more of us, than IRS Agents.
And they DID hang tax collectors once. Even ignorant medieval peasants could figure out the business ends of a pitchfork and a noose.
Haven't done battle yet. I'm just pissed off right now. Ranting. Trying to figure out what to do about the $1 million dollars that will be stolen from me over my lifetime so that the leeches can truck around the country in their motor homes and buy their viagra.
That burden is on the thief who stole it in the first place, but I have a few suggestions.
Cut spending by abolishing welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, the Department of Education, the EPA, the war on drugs, and all other unconstitutional programs.
Abolish the IRS and institute a simple tax system that collects enough to provide for national defense and not much else.
Send me back the stolen money in the form of gold bars and let me handle the rest:)
I recently read an opinion that the term "Fascism" was expropriated by the socialists to label the Nazis so as to distance themselves from Hitler's programs. They were afraid that their loyal followers would abandon them if they realized that 3rd Reich was socialist, root and branch.

Actually, I think conservatives might get a little more traction on moral issues if they didn't come across as painting a version of the past that never quite existed. Though illegitimacy rates have skyrocketed in my lifetime, the existence of premarital sex is nothing new. What's changed is the consequences.
By my understanding, it used to be that if an unmarried girl got pregnant, one of two things would happen:
BTW, another thing about the above consequences is that they represent the 'natural' consequences of people's actions; if anything, society is making them less severe than they otherwise would be. By contrast, those who would throw in jail unmarried couples who share a roof (whether or not they share a bed) are seeking to impose artificial consequences for the people's actions. For whatever reason, people tend to respond better to "natural" consequences than artificial ones, probably because in the latter case they blame whoever imposes the consequences while in the former case they have nobody to blame but themselves.

Odd. I would have imagined that you'd instantly understand and admit that All transfer payments are theft. Including Socialist Security.

It pains my heart, but how could any rational person not come to this conclusion? The Chinese and Mexicans are as "Free" as we are.
