Offering in-state tuition rates to illegals is a slap in the face of every immigrant who came to the US legally.

This came up here in Washington State, too. Sure hope they don't try to bring it up again, this state has a massive budget problem, no sense in giving breaks to people who don't even have a right to be here!

Not deporting illegal immigrants is a slap in the face. They should never even make it near a University.

" Miss Darner is sponsoring legislation that would allow Virginia colleges to offer in-state tuition rates to illegal immigrants, provided they graduated from a high school in Virginia and agreed to file for the appropriate paperwork within 90 days of becoming eligible to become a permanent resident.>

Good old Amnesia ; I mean America . How in the hell can an illegal alien even get INTO a public high school in the first place ? Guess I've been in Japan too long ...NO WAY this could/would happen here . You ain't legal , your arse is grass . Period !

a slap in the face of every immigrant who came to the US legally.

Although Northern VA has a huge number of immigrants, the illegals tend to live in Arlington County, clustered in particular around several apartment complexes.

I agree.

Efforts by Attorney General Jerry Kilgore to encourage Virginia colleges and universities to begin charging out-of-state tuition rates to all illegal immigrants have drawn the ire of a Northern Virginia lawmaker.

Next question. If we know they are illegal, why are they still here? Where is the legislation to address this?

Somebody wants to make sure that terrorists, drug dealers and other criminals will have an incentive to move to Virginia.
