Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle called it "a watershed moment for the administration. They have to decide whether they're for civil rights and diversity or not."

Dassh*le and his gang are for affirmative action and therefore against civil rights, I presume.

such political moves would stop and operating on principle would begin again.

Tell it to Trent Lott. He's the reason George W. Bush is making this speech today.

Did you hear that reporter? "Is this a return to Bakke if this is upheld?"

Why, because I wish our president to be more vocal as to what he believes? What is wrong with that?

Permit diversity in every way WHICH THE LAW PERMITS."

LAW is a four-letter word to the Dims.

I just wish he would have said something much sooner.

If you're such a superior politican and tactician, why aren't YOU president?

Perhaps it it you who is not LISTENING.

You do realize, don't you, that in an ordinary situation, Bush would NOT even participate in this suit.

The ONLY reason he's speaking out today is because of the situation Trent Lott has put the GOP in.

It's called separation of powers; look it up.

But he HAS been saying that exact same thing he has been saying for YEARS. It's just that people who don't like Bush love to twist his words and as David Frum said, "...sniff around for something about Bush that smells."

Because I have no desire to do what is required to be elected in this day and age.

Please tell me what is wrong with what I said. All I said was that he should have said something sooner, is that not true?

>Diversity, as a goal, is absurd.

Yes, but for the 'rats,
it's a mantra. They live it.
Even if they lose

this case, they'll still do
racial profiling, but they
will find a new name.

What the hell is Bakke?

A 1978 SCOTUS decision allowing racism in university admissions. Basically the reporter was trying to bait Bush into saying something like "I want blacks out of colleges."
