The silence was deafening - the few who did answer said they thought ALL wars were unjust. I replied: "That's funny, I didn't see you on CNN protesting then." A real show-stopper, I have to say.Bump!

Nice job to all of you in DC that braved the chilly weather to make a show. I wish there had been more, but most of us have jobs and obligations. We aren't living off the public dole like a gang of leeches. They are and that is why a few thousand of them can afford to travel to Washington from all over the place.
Freep on!!

Thanks for the ping, Lisa!
BRAVO once again to you and the DC Chapter for bravely countering the brainwashed & unwashed mob yesterday! Thank you also to Bob Dornan, Curtis Sliwa and his Guardian Angels, Veterans and other counter-protesters.
I'm sorry we could not join you, but we were already committed to a Washington DC trip for CPAC - we were unable to make the long trip twice in one month.
THANK YOU, Patriots... nutmeg & zelig

This is my first posting ever on Freerepublic.
Late yesterday afternoon, my wife and I took our children to the videostore. We rented a number of videos, one of which was the one take by the camera men in the World Trade Center. As someone who lived the first 29 years of his life in the shadow of the WTC, worked in it and the building around it, the video was of very personal interest to me.
As many of you probably know, the original intent of the camera crew was to follow a Probie (or rookie) NYC firefighter till he fought his first fire and became a "firefighter." The Engine Company they were following was the first on the scene at the WTC. The chaos, fear and death captured as 2WTC went down is unspeakable.
It is amazing how many of those who protested yesterday have forgotten what happened there and at the Pentagon (we must never forget what happened there either!!!).
As I watched the video and thought about the scenes I had witnessed on CSPAN the day earlier, their were a couple of thoughts going thru my mind:
1. I was sorry that I could not be there with you. My sign would have simply been: 9/11 Never Forget, Never Forgive.
2. Are these people that naive to believe that their is no threat or are they just too fat and happy.
3. These are the same people (or at least most of them) who protested again the World Bank/IMF in late Sept./Oct. of last year. I guess the only way they can stay in business is to attack group after group. It reminds me of NYC Foley Square...the same groups use to protest racism, abortion, etc. Same faces, same tired slogans.
4. Where were they during Bosnia? Where were they during Mogadishu?
5. Mr. Saddam is not such a bad person, only Mr. Bush is. Shades of 1938...Peace in our Times.
I am sorry that I was not able to join you. But as someone who has protested Castro in NYC and ABC before its taping of The Day After, I look forward to joining you in the future.

Excellent editorial slamming coverage in The Compost, with it's "scrubbed, anti-septic version" of WWP Stalinists and fellow travelers, "reminiscent of those old broadsides from Mao's press: 'Tens of thousands ...making a thunderous presence in the bitter cold.'" It notes that despite the hailing of cops killers as warriors for peace, and all the other horrors, there was
only one direct qoute of a speaker at the rally. Click and read to find out what it was.
Thank God for C-Span

Thanks so much for supporting our military. I'm not a vet but I do have three sons who are now serving. Your support means a lot and is very much appreciated. I have spent a good portion of my weekend asking people to really listen to what the idiot protesters were saying. Not to mention writing polite but scathing letters to all of the unions who shared a stage with anarchist.
