SF INS Building Smashed and Trashed!

by black bloc • Sunday January 19, 2003 at 05:15 AM

The question is: why has it taken this long to smash the f*** out of the INS building? This building should be fucking smashed every day that they assist in disappearing people. To hell with the INS! F*** la Migra!

YAY S.F.! by a fan in Portland, Oregon • Sunday January 19, 2003 at 05:27 AM

Y'all ROCK down there in the Bay Area! We had a radical march here today, and it was pretty cool, and some folks then went out and broke windows at the Military recruiting station (i guess it might've been people from the march, but i don't really know), but we didn't do any of the GREAT shit y'all did down there. ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE! SMASH CAPITALISM!

I hope the Federal cops arrest these people since the SFPD are unable to do anything to these thugs while the DA is a commie.

Looks like downtown Seattle, Nov 99, the WTO Riot.

You've even got the same black-hooded anarchists in the background. They probably did a lot of the smashing, if Seattle is anything to go by.

And they probably all come from rich households in the suburbs.

More fromt the same site:

"After the march left the INS building, plainclothes policemen who had infiltrated it tackled, brutalized, and hauled off at least two activists. The police became more and more aggressive, and organizers worried as the march began to be hemmed in. They led the protest back to Market street and headed up the street, sometimes running as police attempted to drive motorcycles into the crowd. Organizers looked for a place to disperse peacefully and called the march to an end at the Powell street BART station. Many protesters then entered the BART, only to be chased down into the station by police officers in riot gear. What happened in the BART station is still unclear."

Only 2 people arrest for all that??!

If this is the "non-violence" movement, I'd HATE to see the violence movement.

There's an endless stream of nihilistic destroyers, it seems. I hope the police round up all the destructive pin-heads and lock them away for awhile.

Something does seem odd. I noticed the byline time is 5:15 am and the caption on the third photo is 5:27 am, both on Sunday, January 19. Well, I'm in Southern California looking right now at 1:10 am Sunday the 19th. Unless the guy/gal doesn't know how to set his/her clocks. Last time I checked, we're in the same time zone.

I went to the protest and marched the opposite direction of the marchers for 4 or 5 blocks. Took all my crowd navigating ability but I did it... All those smelly hippies and communists lucky I got out of there alive but I made my point.

Not me.

I want to see the violence movement round this scum up; deport that part of it comprised of criminal aliens -- and incarcerate the rest.

I noticed that too, but maybe they sent to another computer in another part of the world (say somewhere in EU) and they posted it up? Then it would reflect the correct timezone. They might have done that to avoid the (hopefully inevitable) questioning by LEO's.

don't count on the SFPD to do it... they are good people, but their effectiveness was degenerated slowly by the good old SF political network.

That's what happens when they elect a Defense Attorney as District Attorney instead of a Prosecutor.

Good people like you are always left to clean up the mess.

What can we do? My husband says "it's always the innocent that are the first victims."

I'm hoping Gavin gets elected, and if the Examiner is to be believed he wants to get rid of District elections, maybe we can get rid of some of the scummy supervisors, and we need to be sure that we dump Hallinan, who is a disgrace.

What is called the "anti-war" or "peace" movement in the US these days is neither. They are antiBush and AntiAmericanWar socialists. They don't protest for other nations to end their hostilities.

They want Bush impeached but oppose removing Saddam as a leader.
