Are Multiculturalists Legalizing Rape?

Back in July, we noted an article in which Bruce Bawer quoted a Norwegian professor, commenting on the statistic that 65% of rapes in Norway were committed by "non-Western" immigrants, mostly Muslims, as remarking that the victims had it coming. "Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes," the professors said, because Muslims found their manner of dress provocative and "believe that it is women who are responsible for rape."

"I don’t know the specific of this case or the law in Norway but I want to offer a possible alternative explanation."

Since you do not "know", and obviously have no idea of the documented propensity shown by Islamic immigrants worldwide to claim cultural ignorance as a defense for rape:

Why do you offer an alternative view?

This is not a debate forum. If it was, you lost with your first sentance. You know nothing about anything on the subject, but feel free to blame the rape victim for the crime of being raped.

Perhaps you have lost your way in the internet and need directions to "elsewhere".

The court also ruled that the woman, because of her condition, did not have the necessary psychological strength to resist the man's desire for sex.

This case should not have been prosecuted, and is a waste of time to discuss. The majority of Muslim rapists do not pray on retards. It is no different in Norway than in Australia...Muslim men, particularly of Lebanese and Syrian descent (who tend toward gang rape), are a great danger to white women as a rule. The only way to deal with this problem is racial profiling, explusions, castrations, and executions for violent rapists.

The judge obviously knows far more about the circumstances involved than you do, so the judge likely had a good reason for giving a lenient sentence. If you would take a little time and read a couple of articles here on FreeRepublic you might know that many of them are slanted to emphasis a point at the expense of the truth. My scenario fits the facts presented but would not support the Author’s agenda. Since you have not bothered to offer any facts I assume that you don’t have any.

The judge knows?

How on earth did you go from knowing nothing about anything about this case to backing the unknown judges decision?

Islam is peace! And rapists of mentally retarded infidel females are always excused.

You are not capable of rational discourse, based upon your posts.

Enjoy hades.

You are not capable of rational discourse, based upon your posts.

And your definition of "rational discourse" … let me guess: someone who always agrees with your preconceived notions?

Last reply to one of your kind.

Raping a retarded female is not accepted as a normal accepted act by any normal adult human male.

Most males do not rape females, nor do they celebrate or condone the rape of females, retarded or not.

Men and women of normal intelligence do not require the judicial system to determine the definitian of an illegal and universally measuured immoral act.

There is no possible moral justification of rape.

Does your probation officer know you have internet access?

Castrations would definitely scare them away from rape. These wackos like to castrate those they kill in battle. They are big on desecrating the dead. The fact they kill, win a battle, just ain't good enough for their pea sized brains. Their pleasure center ain't humming yet.

Need more armed women.

Then, the women can be excused for the inexperience of the Middle Eastern rapists.

This course is being followed in most European countries. Muslims are demanding that they be given a religious exemption from the nation's laws. This wouldn't be worrisome in itself, but the fact that many nations are conceding to these demands is very troubling. Where does it end?

Iteresting you should make that connection. I've been thinking about that book and the middle-eastern/muslim sensibility for quite some time, but didn't dare bring it up.

Do you think it possible that the rapist didn't know that the victim was retarded? The judge thought so. Do you think it possible that the rape was actually consensual sex? Could it be that Norwegian law protects the retarded, in the same way that American laws protect minors - that is, the law states that certain people, by definition, are incapable of giving consent?
Taken together, these two possibilities suggest a third - that the judge acted correctly.

Before September 11th, I thought Jaynes was a nut. Now, I'm increasingly convinced that he was right, and the Islamic world has still not made the leap. For those of you who are unfamiliar with his work, here's a summary from the website of the Julian Jaynes Society:

At the heart of this book is the revolutionary idea that human consciousness did not begin far back in animal evolution but is a learned process brought into being out of an earlier hallucinatory mentality by cataclysm and catastrophe only 3000 years ago and still developing. The implications of this new scientific paradigm extend into virtually every aspect of our psychology, our history and culture, our religion—and indeed, our future. In the words of one reviewer, it is "a humbling text, the kind that reminds most of us who make our livings through thinking, how much thinking there is left to do."

(Jaynes) presents a theory of the bicameral mind which holds that ancient peoples could not "think" as we do today and were therefore "unconscious," a result of the domination of the right hemisphere; only catastrophe forced mankind to "learn" consciousness, a product of human history and culture and one that issues from the brain's left hemisphere. Three forms of human awareness, the bicameral or god-run man; the modern or problem-solving man; and contemporary forms of throwbacks to bicamerality (e.g., religious frenzy, hypnotism, and schizophrenia) are examined in terms of the physiology of the brain and how it applies to human psychology, culture, and history.

His thesis is built on seriously outdated ideas of brain physiology and function, yet I do think, as with Freud, there is some biological truth underpinning *some* of his observations that led to his theories.

I don't wan't to get in trouble here, but there may well be some physical features of a more ancient mind that persist in middle-eastern populations.
