Today on CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer, there was a panel of four former UN weapons inspectors. The panel included Richard Spertzel, bioweapons scientist and former head of the UN bioweapons inspection unit. The panel took a few calls from viewers.
In response to a caller, Spertzel expanded on earlier statements he made to the effect that he believes the anthrax came from Iraq. Today, he said the anthrax used in the 2001 attacks was a superior form of weaponized bateria, and that the material (binding agent, I believe) in which the bateria was held was exceptionally sophisticated. He also said that the anthrax used in 2001 was superior to anything the United States or Soviet Union ever produced.
Of course, there was a clearly Left-wing former inspector on who tried to undercut what Spertzel said. However, the other two generally supported Spertzel without going as far as he did in his opinions. Spertzel is apparently one of the worlds leading authorities on bioweapons, by the way.
One of the former weapons inspectors on Late Edition was a guy with a British accent. He said he believes that if Iraq could get its hands on fissile material, they could have a nuclear device "within months." If this man is correct in his assessment, anthrax or no anthrax, we can't afford to wait much longer before taking out Saddam.

Thanks for these two chilling points of why Soddomite must be killed before he kills a whole bunch of us.

Of course, the notion that George W. Bush wakes up every morning and puts in a call to John Ashcroft and says, "John, have your Amerithrax boys managed to figure out whether the anthrax was from Iraq or from Steve Hatfill yet?" is a complete absurdity. George W. Bush knows the answer to this question. So, if he knows it, and the FBI and the DOJ is playing dumb, what does that tell you about Amerithrax? And if Amerithrax is not what it purports to be, do you think that it is more likely, at this late date, that Steve Hatfill is an innocent bystander caught in something bigger than he understands, or that Steve Hatfill is actually one of the architects of Amerithrax? Think it through. I know what I think.

Name of the British inspector on Late Edition was Taylor, I believe.

and that the material (binding agent, I believe) in which the bateria was held was exceptionally sophisticated. OH YEAH.
That *alone* accounts for the release of the anthrax from those 'letters in transit' through the US post office system ...
Not.

he believes the anthrax came from Iraq.WHY so little - with so really LITTLE effect!
COULD it just be that IRAQ has *never* had the quantities that are 'claimed' they have by these so-called experts?
Yes ...
Cripes - I could have induced a farm animal to contract anthrax (it's presnt in most soils), waited until it was fully in the throes of this disease, allowed it to die - THEN DRAINED AND DRIED THE BLOOD CONTAINING THE SPORES.
And what do you supposed I would have *then* in terms of a useful quantity of anthrax spores?
