Taxman: I agree wholeheartedly with the federal sales tax. I've been an advocate of that for over a decade. Kudos to you for all that you do to amend the corrupt and unfair tax practices in place today.

My flag is flying high outside my apartment balcony, my flag decals displayed prominently on my car. My flag lapel pin is attached to my sweater top. I SUPPORT OUR POTUS to the max! I will be glued to the teevee (eck!) tonight and I will have a transcript of the speech saved to my hard-drive tomorrow!

I am not a tax accountant or tax lawyer, so I am not really qualified to answer your technical question about filing jointly or separately. HST, when I was still married, I took the trouble to "test" file each way, and chose the method which resulted in a lower tax bill. You probably need to consult an accountant.

With respect to the double taxation of SS: The answer is yes, we will have to abolish the income tax to eliminate that special fedgov "revenue enhancement." It was passed on the now standard Democrat LIEberal/Socialist/Marxist class warfare, greed and envy (bogus) arguments.

When we convince the American public and a majority of the Congress that "FRom each according to their ability, to each according to their needs" is not the American way (it is the Communist way), we will transform America.

Yes, and I should add -- because for space it didn't make into the profile -- that your NSRT proposal lets people buy things tax-free up to the standard of living for the poverty line. So it's not cruel to the poor.
