You're becoming more and more difficult. :)
I'm a New Englander. We're (or "we are," if you prefer, but never "were") BORN difficult. I was difficult in my mother's womb. LOL -- no really, she says -- not without a linger hint of resentment -- that I kicked an awful lot.

Good luck with the dentist! Thanks for dropping by, Daisy!

Why, thank you ma'am. We could use your help.

LOL, that's my schtick too.
To: The Thin Man
Yup! I had a lot of fun wearing that "mock hippie" necklace. I suspect (hope!) that my fun with it is not over.
And, I bought it "just for fun" in Danang, RVN in 1966, never thinking I'd have an opportunity to wear it in a real street theater demonstration! Good thing I am a packrat!

"Good thing I am a packrat!" Thank heaven there is a man who is a packrat!!
Reminds me of the time an auditor was in my department, going through my records.
He was a pleasant sort, and in chatting he bemoaned the fact his wife is one, expressing his belief if she hadn't used/worn/needed something within two years - 'CHUCK it' - period.
My reply was WRONGO, Bucko -
it is possible you might need it a whole 11 years out, and you'd be deprived of the smug feelings generated by having just the article you really, really need.

LOL! I missed the "Click me" underneath my picture the first time I read the story. That lead to my confusion, but now, I'VE GOT IT!
Well, I also had my third cuppacoffee, which helped a lot.
Ah, yes, the Betty Crocker Brigade. That is not a "bad" reversion, IMHO:
"If a man does away with his traditional way of living and throws away his good customs, he had better first make certain that he has something of value to replace them." Basuto Proverb.
I would suggest that we all (men and women) have lost some good customs due, in part, to the NOW gang and other militant feminist NAGS.
And, further, I would suggest that we have replaced our good customs with trash "customs."
So, how do we bring back the Betty Crocker Brigade?

Congrats on being one of FR's finest - of course those of us having the pleasure of knowing you already knew that:)
Also, thanks for everything you've done and continue to do.
An additional argument for the national sales tax that you pointed out to me is privacy. What business is it of the government (or it's hacks) how much money we make? With a national sales tax the snooping into our personal lives would end. IMHO that is the most compelling argument of all.
Anyway - see you at CPAC Thursday.

I was out yesterday, getting my brakes fixed. I went to a friends house Sunday for the Super Bowl Game and had brake problems. I stayed over and fixed them yesterday...

Good morning Finest ladies & gents. You're right, today's FR Finest recipient is a fine choice! Congratulations Taxman! I look forward to meeting you at CPAC - either at the FRN booth or yours! BTW I listened to an impresssive interview with the President/owner of Godfather's Pizza yesterday on Michael Medved's radio program. He was advocating the same - a retail sales tax, and is a Conservative black American as well. Halleluiah! Cheers, Taxman, lol I hope America will soon "catch up with Russia" - atleast taxwise! :)

From one "fuzzy brothah" Georgia boy (well, both my parents were born and grew up in Georgia & most of my relative still live there) to another, thanks.
Where do you live? Are you active in the NRST movement in Georgia? GA has the highest percentage of NRST supporters of any state in the Union, and the GA Congressional delegation and Sen. Saxby Chambliss will lead the way to passage of the NRST.
Hope you are in the fray in a big way. If not, here's how to get in the fray in some kinda way:

Billie - the graphics and set up of the article look wonderful. You are very talented. And I liked the praying hands and shipboard Pledge of Allegiance, too. Thanks, Angelwood - enjoy working with FRee on her writeups - she usually sends links to cute gifs that I might use, as well as links to the photos of the profilee, and even if I don't always use all she sends, but rather replace with some of my own choosing, I can get a 'feel' for what Free has in mind!

"So, how do we bring back the Betty Crocker Brigade?" Lest others think we set this up on the side, I hereby make clear you did not dictate my answer..:)))
The answer is simple, and obvious.
REDUCE OUR TAXES, Big Bro and Big State Govs - - then we Little Wimmin could afford to stay by the hearth if we choose, or at least juggle part time work if that is our interest.
That would help to reduce tensions all around and benefit Family Life - especially for the children.
Of course in an Ideal World, that is so; however, The Family often is absent a husband and father.
But I digress, having valiantly supported your tax reform subject.

Tahnk you, ma'am. I look forward to meeting you, also. We are going to have a lot of fun at CPAC -- but then, we always do.
Herman Cain is a very effective spokesman for the Fair Tax, H.R. 25 (soon to be H.R. 2525, when the number becomes available). All Americans will soon know who he is and what he stands for. We are in for a treat as he works to build momentum in America for replacing the income tax with a National Retail Sales Tax and abolishing the icome tax.

Taxman, you are one of my newest heroes! Do you think we'll live to see the national sales tax replace the current system? Of those who want reform, do more support the national sales tax or a flat tax?
