Thanks!

The Democratic Party wants to hear what you have to say about the state of the union. Fill out our quick survey to let us know what you think about the direction America is taking and what issues are important to you. We'll pass the answers on to the Democratic leadership.

Do not post from the lefty discussion sites. Who cares? Sheesh!

Just a guess here PKMom, but I think JimRob doesn't want DNC material posted here. A vanity encouraging everyone to FReep the polls after the SOTU address is one thing, but posting the DNC's email full of idiotic propaganda and a link to their website is the kind of thing JimRob asked us not to do.

I went there and feel slimely, however, someone needs to clue these folks in -- found this little gem:

Make a Contribution: This is an election year. Your contribution will provide critical support for Democratic issues and candidates today!

Know all about that and would not normally post this but asking Freepers to go to the polls without this as back-up might not work. We need to know what the enemy is up to and this is not from RATs.com or the Underground -- it is from the DNC themselves.

If I am wrong, pull the thread!

Debated before posting it as a matter of fact -- would not have posted if it had not come from McAuliffe's office. Agreed with the person that asked me to get this up on FR that it was important for everyone to see what McAuliffe and the RATs were up to.

As opposed to the one written by other drug companies for the Democrats? Hard choice...

Dear DNC, this is what I think: (^;

I feel something different about Bush, some kind of deep trust that he won't let us down, along with, in my case, a pretty strong belief in the principles of limited government and proud enterprise he is espousing. But Bush shows, I think, that successful politicians, like successful countries, don't have to court approval for everything they do to command respect for the principles that animate them. Yes, Bush, like most pols, has cut corners with principles along the way. But he has them, he hasn't lost them, and they remain a lodestar for the trials ahead. This is, indeed, an unexpectedly radical administration. And the stakes keep getting higher. If we wage a successful war in Iraq, the academic and elite left in this country, previously deeply wounded, cannot survive. They will be shown for what they are: defenders of everything real liberals should oppose. That, I suspect, is why so many of them are resisting the war so fiercely. They know that their fate is now bound up with Saddam's. What an irony. But what an opportunity to despatch both at once.   -  Andrew Sullivan, Jan. 26 2003

I actually agree with you. AOL will put up their poll and before you know it 50,000 people have voted and then over the next couple of hours maybe 1,000 or more will vote.

They are useless IMHO. That said, I hate it when it goes against us even though I know you can vote over and over again!
